De restrict for off road use

I don't think it is possible for that model of Wisper but why not private message @Wisper Bikes

    What's the answer?

How about a AKM75 hub and something like your 10Ah 36v battery in a bag ?

    What's the answer?

At the risk of going off on a tangent, can you tell us more about your full suss. I am tempted to do a full suss conversion, not for epic mountain climbing, just for comfort on long road trips or light trails.

    What's the answer?

Aikema AKM75(1.4kg) or bafang G370hub motor. Something like Wooshs battery in a bag https://wooshbikes.co.uk/?batteries Or Woosh faro (16.5 kg including battery)

    Voodoo

For hub based commuter bikes, where you are doing a significant number of miles, I would look at Wisper and Woosh just from the point of view of customer service and support. If you wanted something cheaper, maybe Eleglide M2 - there are a couple of people here that seem to have used the...

My viewpoint is there is such a good array of potential donor bikes available on Marketplace / Ebay / Gumtree that it is worth just getting a donor bike that will make the conversion easy - usually a hardly used older bike which isn't too high tech but has disc brakes , preferably hydraulic, air...

    I got One

Looks great - is this the one ? https://eskute.co.uk/products/netuno-plus-e-mountain-bike?variant=43773451010263&om=8475&utm_source=awin&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=&awc=24314_1713790767_5fcda554e2955e05e51b8c59692def65 I think a 520 Wh battery would do 40 miles on flattish / not too high...

Knee issues, heavy rider, good power, 1500gbp budget help please

So the rule of thumb is one hour of zone 2 training burns 500-600 calories, so if you manage to do an hour each day (which I think is fun on an electric bike - the big problem with zone 2 training is boredom) and consume the same amount of calories you would lose 0.5 kg per week (which I think...

Knee issues, heavy rider, good power, 1500gbp budget help please

No - Zone 2 training is elevating your heart rate to a level where you are burning fat (which takes quite a lot of oxygen to metabolise) - at higher heart rates you start burning glycogen (which is then replenished)...

Knee issues, heavy rider, good power, 1500gbp budget help please

I think I slightly disagree, an electric bike is almost unique in that it allows you to keep your heart rate in the fat burning zone for a long period of time without you getting bored and if you combine that with a sensible diet it will aid losing weight

    First attempt ebike conversion

Yep - most of them on AliExpress are right/back left/front and you can swap them over but easier to get them the right way round

    First attempt ebike conversion

I'd definitely recommend hydraulic brakes (though it's dead easy and cheap to upgrade from manual disc brakes - you can get them off AliExpress). Yes, the max continuous rated power on the M2 is 250W also - seems good value for £699

    First attempt ebike conversion

Noticed there was an Eleglide M2 with hydraulic disc brakes, a more powerful motor and 15Ah battery in 27.5 or 29 inch wheels - e.g. https://www.infinityebikes.co.uk/product/eleglide-m2/

Wisper Never used wisper. For sale

Might be worth charging it now - if it has been left for 2 years without charging, the battery cells may have discharged over time and the battery may not be recoverable.

I'm interested in your experience with the Eleglide - they seem very good value - which model is it ? Which battery - what sort of range are you getting ? How long have you had it ? How has the support / customer service been ?
