    Carrera Vengeance Conversion

I bought a 15 year old Carrera Vulcan as a donor bike off facebook, changed the mechanical disk brakes to hydraulic. (Very easy to do and cheap). I do 100 miles a week on it - it's been fine. I think the Carrera Vengeance would be fine , but would change (or get changed) the brakes to...

This one under £300 at the minute (seem to get 6% off when you put it in your basket) - free delivery - probably better for someone 5'2" than 6'2" https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204610269609?var=505211710224

    Converting a little folder

135mm I'm thinking of using the AKM-74 front hub wheel kit from topbikekit https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005986142926.html and the Woosh 36v 10Ah bag battery Ends up with quite a light conversion But I would definitely consider changing to the 7 speed freewheel with 11t for higher top...

    Converting a little folder

Thanks, spoke to Andy, the front fork spacing is 75mm which is too narrow for the Woosh options I could do a rear wheel conversion, but I would have to change from the original 6 speed free wheel to a cassette. I'm leaning towards doing using the topbikekit akm74 front wheel conversion kit...

That's ironic : from a battery description on their store (although I believe it was only certain of their batteries that were deemed dangerous)

Where to buy batteries - Reputable UK??

I haven't used them myself - but when I was browsing, I was struck by the level of relevant technical detail on this ebay store, not particularly cheap mind https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/cyclingbatteryclub?_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l161211 Also large number of reviews seem very good

    Converting a little folder

I wanted a bike that I could do a bit of exploring when we go on holiday in our campervan. My wife has a lovely little folder that I have got my eyes on I had a little ride on it just now and it put a big smile on my face ! Roughly 75mm between front forks I was wondering about a front...

    What's the answer?

Is that motor with torque sensor a available commercially ? I quite fancied trying to do a lightweight build. If not I guess I could use a Bafang 370 or akm85sx and use your bottom bracket torque sensor kit

looking for one that will get me up the hill

Looks ok, if a bit expensive at full price. Pretty standard ebike, nothing unusual. Unfortunately it doesn't give some key information as far as I could see, max controller power and battery size. I think it will go up hills ! The most important specifications are max power supplied by the...
