Slight creak Bosch CX on Cube

Another agreement with the above, the Bosch CX is probably the most popular mid motor in Europe. Most of the hire bikes have them here with no problems.

    Valve stem nuts

Looks like they do but I think they are in the minority having a metal stem, most are rubber.

    Brakes acting up yet again.

203mm front disc, 180mm rear. Carbon metalic pads (very noisy when wet) regularly descending 700 - 1000m vertical in one go, hairpins everywhere. Original front disc was 180, first time I took it out here I cooked it. Replaced immediately with 203 and new pads no more problems. Once you have...

Thinking of buying ex rental e bike

If you are getting a bike with @1000km on it for £1000 less than new then it is indeed a bargain, alowing for the usual checks anyway.

    Valve stem nuts

Most Schrader (car) type valves have no locknut. Presta always have provision for locknuts but they aren't always fitted. Both of my MTBs have them, my roadbike doesn't. One thing to be careful of is tightening them up with the tyre at full pressure, if you do you may not be able to loosen them...

Thinking of buying ex rental e bike

There is no massive problem with Bosch bearings. I am friends with the mechanic in the local bike shop, he has maybe 40 ebikes (mainly Bosch and Yamaha) in every week. Nearly all of them are for normal bike problems, brakes, gears, cables, tyres etc. I don't think he's changed more than a couple...

Today's jaunt, met up with a friend two thirds of the way round. He was on an unpowered bike but he's twenty years younger and twenty kilos lighter!

Gorgeous part of the world Eddie. The only view that has ever caused me to really have a jaw drop moment as you come out of the station at Kleine Scheidegg, the North Face of the Eiger and all of those glaciers it's just awesome. Look after the leg Dom.

Giant Full E+2 Replacement Cassette and Chain

Half of that is because he's fitting a bigger chainring. As far as the offset / dishing goes as long as you have a pair they should fit, maybe you need to adjust the front mech. As I said I used standard FSA ones on my MTB no problem.

Giant Full E+2 Replacement Cassette and Chain

Do you have a link to the forum? I seriously doubt standard chain rings wouldn't fit. If they were going to make something different there would be no point in using half a standard.

Giant Full E+2 Replacement Cassette and Chain

Your Road e has a 5 leg spider and I guess will take either 110 or 130 bcd rings. The mtbs are 4 leg and if they are the same as my Haibike standard 104bcd chainrings fit.

Yose power kits back in stock.

Good luck, thinking of doing similar to my carbon Cannondale Synapse roadbike. Just a little concerned about the weight of the Yosepower kit.

    Need Stronger wheel / spokes

That wheel looks horrible, with that much bend where the spokes enter the nipple they can't possibly be tensioned correctly. They will constantly try to straighten as load is applied then released. When you sit on the bike the top spokes will straighten out leaving the bottom ones loose. As the...

Trekking/Touring Bike - preferably Bosch powered

Depends which Bosch and which Yamaha! Not much in it tbh. Yamaha gives instant power which helps with hill starts, Bosch supports slightly higher cadence unless the Yamaha is a PW-X. Bosch you must use their batteries so if you want to increase range when touring you either need to carry a spare...

    World's lightest electric road bike 2019 ?

It also says ebikes from €3999 but I'm sure that doesn't buy a 9.7kg bike.;) I'll have to call in and try one someday.
