I've been thrown over the front of my bike on two occasions, both times when i had the front fork in suspension mode. These days i have the fork locked. I really can't see why i would need to have the front forks dipping as it absorbs my inertia.

If I buy a back-up battery and then don't use it for a year or 18 months, will it degrade? In other words do Lipo's have a specific shelf life where the chemicals 'go off' irrespective of whether they are used or charged?

Some batteries will have a fuse in them too, if that goes it will prevent the battery accepting a charge.
