Agreed, 1500w motor is illegal. No if's, buts or maybe's. Paired with a 45A controller you are building a motor bike which, unless you register it, fit a number plate, insure it, have the relavant licence and wear a motorcycle helmet, will be illegal no matter what you do to it.

I see what you're saying but this is taken care of by having the left side spokes (non drive side) with the bend on the inside of the flange, and the right side on the outside. Whilst reducing the triangulation of the spokes to the rim it helps to bring the tensions nearer together. Grin say...

Disc bolts would be my first thought. Second would be the smallest cog of the gear cluster rubbing on the frame. It's not possible to see in your video if the wheel is centred in the frame. Is the tyre rubbing anywhere?
