It'll be interesting to see what the 'switch' is. Obviously a physical switch would be illegal . I suggest an iris scanner which will operate the device for a programmed time when you look directly at it:cool:. Just be careful where you look when you are pulled over.

Once took my van for mot and the speedo was intermittant. Was informed by the mechanic that it wasn't a problem as it's not part of the mot.:confused: Who'da thunk? Both the vans in our houshold (Boxer and a Vivaro) have speedo's that consistantly read 5mph over what's being done, measured...

Eh?? So, my bike has an led display. The only speedo is a Cateye cycle computer which must be really accurate ! Is lifting the motor wheel really the only way they are going to test for speed?

I agree. Bikes like that shout, 'I'm an unregistered motor bike, please stop me'. Saw a similar thing on Lampeter high street a couple of weeks ago. The guy was really pushing his luck 'cos he was going up an incline without pedaling!

Fortunately my bike looks nothing like any of those pictured in the pdf. It's good to see that officers are being made aware of the 2016 law change, now I've got to go and find the 2014 receipt for my bike and the kit. My remaining concern is that the Ezee motor has no markings on it at all.

Quick shakedown ride to the village shop (bacon sarnies for lunch). Brake switch cuts the motor just before the brake bite point, phew 'cos there's no adjustment. Initially brake lever feel was very hard but the new pads seem to be bedding in nicely. Changer works a dream, indexing is fine...
