Anyone need a Juicy Sport battery?

Hi all I have a Juicy Sport 36V/10Ah battery and a charger (the latter is held together with sticky-tape) left over from a stolen bike. This has been recharged nearly every night for 27 months, and still appears to have a good bit of oomph in it. I was still getting ~12miles of range from...

    Recommendations for a bike alarm?

Hi all. I'm looking to get a new bike, and am planning to spend at least £1,500 (and I recently saw some very tasty bikes that are tempting me to raise it a few hundred extra!). Having just had a bike stolen, I would be greatly worried about parking such an expensive thing, especially in city...

    New! Sirocco-Sport from Woosh

That's impressive, Hatti; thought it'd be an unbranded one. My experience of the very cheap ones is the teeth are too soft, and eventually the wobble wears them away in a shower of iron filings, regardless of how much it is tightened. But a ProMax one should be okay!

    Justebikes. Removal of thread.

I agree that a reason for deletion would be helpful - reassurance that it was with the agreement of both parties would be good. Whilst I am only an occasional contributor, I personally don't mind commercial posts. For the most part, these are relatively small businesses, which I quite like...

    New! Sirocco-Sport from Woosh

Are you planning to swap out some of the ultra-cheap components straight away, d8veh? I'd be inclined to at least have replacements to hand for the stem (adjustable ones tend to develop a wobble, so swap it for a rigid one) and the front shocks (cheap ones deflate quickly). Should be...

Wanted: sec/hand Wisper, Oxygen, Emotion in Midlands area

I'm central Birmingham, near enough. I've no car, but happy to take the train - hopefully will be seeing a few bike shops this week.

    Lack of Oxygen

Andrew, d8veh mentioned earlier in the thread that you might have some ex-demo Oxygens sitting in your dealer network somewhere. Could you check and let me know?

Wanted: sec/hand Wisper, Oxygen, Emotion in Midlands area

Hi Rami They're very nice looking machines, with an excellent weight profile and good pricing. I'm used to rear-wheel drive however, and whilst I'll probably give central-drive a try, I understand front-drive to have slipping problems in the wet: I need an all-weathers bike. I'd also be...

Wanted: sec/hand Wisper, Oxygen, Emotion in Midlands area

That sounds like well worth a look, thanks Tim. Let me know if it would okay to come see it tomorrow - I'd be coming in by train.

Wanted: sec/hand Wisper, Oxygen, Emotion in Midlands area

Hi all I might consider one of the above brands or similar, with a MTB/commuter/hybrid frame, as second-hand or ex-demo. Ideally it would still have some transferable warranty left, and have decent hydraulic disk brakes (or can have them fitted). I should think I am looking for a 10-12AH...

    New! Sirocco-Sport from Woosh

Hatti, phew, £50 for an extra year guarantee on electrics? That is excellent, since that's the thing most likely to break after the first year. Do you have a dealer network, out of interest?

What bike test-drive policies do you have?

barrycoll, surely you've been in touch with that supplier to ask for your security deposit?

    New! Sirocco-Sport from Woosh

Ultimately people are usually looking for a reasonable cost of usage together with minimal wastage. My old Juicy MTB cost me £49/month over 27 months (including alternative transport costs when off-road) - for that price I could buy one of these, replace it with the same again a year later, and...

    New! Sirocco-Sport from Woosh

RobF, yes ;) Hatti, not sure I should start a new thread for this, but certainly relevant to your bikes. I couldn't find your warranty info on your website, but would assume it's a year on everything bar consumables. Could customers elect to pay an extra sum when purchasing, for an additional...

    New! Sirocco-Sport from Woosh

This looks like a nice bike given it's half the cost of a Wisper. It's great that people working to a low price-point have electric options, imo :)

Best Way to Carry battery into work etc

I should think a shoulder-slung record bag would do the trick - search on eBay, you'll get one for less than a tenner.

What bike test-drive policies do you have?

Good points GaRRy. Yes, cost is a prohibitive factor. However I'd say that several bikes within a range would handle similarly, so I could (for example) try a 2012 Wisper of any MTB model, and not worry that it was a 906 Alpino or a 905e. Juicy Bike admittedly are importers as well as sellers...

What bike test-drive policies do you have?

Hi all Just phoned up a bike dealer, and asked them if prospective buyers may take a demo model out on the local roads. The answer was no, but I could try one in the carpark - sounded like I was being offered a new one to try  I'd expect when buying a bike brand new that it wouldn't have...

    Hydraulic disks on ebikes

Great stuff, a good change I think. Ah, that sounds about right, good stuff; mine came in circa 23Kg on the scales, with the 10AH :)

    A comprehensive range of bikes?

That'd be lovely, will give your shop a call this week. I've a little list of things to try :D
