So we've got the previous but one prime minister attacking the current prime minister (who is also my MP, god help me) for adopting the policies advocated on Monday by the previous prime minister - not sure this is helping the Tories.

Interesting to compare UK with the 'Nordic Model' that seem to be the happiest countries in the world Generous social safety net and public pension system with well-funded public services in a relatively high-tax economy Free trade combined with collective risk sharing Low levels of corruption...

No, I'm not allowed any more e-bikes ! and if I was I would get a second hand bike + kit Just thinking that might suit some people as a commuter bike and seemed quite cheap for a 48v bike

48v hub drive bike - (not UK legal)

Was there some concerns in particular ? The basic Shimano gears - my mother in law has them and done thousands of miles (although changing between the front cogs takes a bit of getting used to )- seems OK ? The chaoyang tyres have a pretty good reputation for the price - the manual discs seemed...

    PAS level slider

It really was a game changer, each pas level you can adjust the assist power as a percentage and (if you want) a max assist speed level for that pas level . By default the lower pas levels had too much power and too low a level max assist speed, changing them made a big difference

But the yellow card system is just people self reporting events after they have had the vaccine. There are millions of people that have had the vaccine, there's no way of telling if those events would have happened anyway or they are linked to the vaccine. There are studies that have...

Couldn't the blood clots and heart problems (and the ongoing excess deaths ) be a legacy of covid rather than the jabs ? E.g. https://www.heart.org/en/news/2022/08/22/covid-19-infection-poses-higher-risk-for-myocarditis-than-vaccines

That's from 2017, where someone was sceptical of mRNA technology - haven't they been proven wrong by events ? If you wanted to look at vaccine safety and side effects now, you wouldn't look at the drug company trial data, there are huge datasets of people that have been vaccinated, thousands...

So I might be cycling on the flat in PAS level 1 (10% Power on my BBS02B conversion ). I am coming to a 25% hill, I then have to press "+" eight times to get to level 9, it gets less steep , I have to press "-" 4 times and then downhill "-" another 5 times. I like the level of control of 9 pas...

I disagree, in social media, the users / user engagement is "the product" that social media companies are selling to their customers, ( the advertisers). Algorithms maximize profit by maximising user engagement, the best way of doing this is amplifying content that provokes fear, anger and outrage

    PAS level slider

On my conversions I have a + and - button to adjust the pas levels. Is there any invention where the assist power is on a "slider" or twist slider so , for example , I can just twist or slide one way for max assist, the other for min assist and in between, the more I slide/ twist the more power...
