I seem to remember from seeing pictures of the Synergie, that the battery is not of this "verticle split" type. I seem to remember it looks more like an square aluminium "jar" with a black plastic "lid" on the top. So the battery should be fine...

Shouldn't be a problem usually. Some have had problems where the water gets into the throttle or controller circuitry, but usually this is sorted out by standing the bike in a warm dry place for a few hours... And it's only really torrential rain you need to worry about!

Sounds like it! (It's very naughty of them not to put a fuse on the charging socket if you ask me!) So the next question is...do you ask ETS to fix it....or fix it yourself (pretty easy, for a test try replacing the fuse anything that will conduct will do! Also the power switch levers out...

Just to point out... A123 batteries are pretty much only to be found in Dewalt 36V power tool batteries....they are very much in the advanced DIY arena as you'll have to make up a battery pack, find a BMS etc. etc. And A123s are differently built compared to other LiFEPO4s like Ping...

Advice about alarms.... forget em.... everybody ignores them anyway. So unless your are always going to be in earshot & ready to come running everytime it goes off, it's not likely to do any good.... just my two penneth worth...

If it's completely dead that's indicative of a broken connection/switch of some sort (i.e. fixable). Oh dear , you're not having much luck here are you? What make of battery is it? (Sticker should be on side or bottom). Fully charged my Lishen puts out 42V. Partially it's around 38/39V. Perhaps its just the fuse that's gone?

Hmmm I hate to say it, but it sounds like this may no longer really be a Wisper. When, as an academic exercise, I looked at repacement controllers a month or so ago, I couldn't find one with a pedelec function. So it may have the sensor but the controller box may not have the electronics...

To throw some more real numbers in, I have a Wisper 905SE and currently run it in London rush hour traffic, flat terrain on mostly throttle only. I reckon on just less than 1ah a mile (=30-36WH). I weigh (cough) about 90kg. Terrain, traffic conditions and of course how much effort YOU put...

Ah and there's the rub I'm afraid. I know it's for legal reasons an all, but that throttle anytime of earlier bikes is vital if like me you can't pedal all the time :(
