    Torque arms

Oh no, still working fine thanks Frank (as is the rest of the bike), I've not had cause to take the back wheel off yet (thanks to those Marathon Plus tyres :) ).... Have replaced 5 rear spokes in 5 months though :(. Design fault or should I get the toddler on a diet? ;)

    Time for a new Wisper?

Is that a Braun or a Kenwood food blender on the back? ;)

    Torque arms

To add to that info, a few months ago I found these ones: AmpedBikes.com -e-bikes buynow They'll deliver to the UK. I think it was about USD$53 all in (more than twice the price!), however they do have an interesting "universal" design.

    Schwalbe Marathon Plus....job done.

    Rims worn through

Any chance of fitting a disc brake? Then you only have to replace the discs+pads rather than a wheel re-build every time.

    Just back from Presteigne...

Yes, to me it's just the same as a lot of bikes with a de-restrict button (e.g. Wisper, Mistral), only this de-restrict is potentially just a lot faster. Looking at their webpage, I see they are using Lead Acid batteries!?!!? To me this looks like any number of the 1000W kits you can buy on...

    Crank arm has come off

So do I! I also have a spanner, and 14stone of body weight.... that b***er wasn't shifting, it started to strip the threads on the crank! I even rode around for 2 weeks with the nut missing. It didn't budge a nanometer. Heating the crank with a gas flame, didn't help either. Neither did...

    Battery Boost

Ah just do it anyway, with that £40 quid deal around you won't regret it.

    Conversion kit - Alien 24v

In a word....no probably not. (That's 3 words darn!), it would help considerably though so you might not need to stop pedaling. I have no direct personal experience of 24V though, maybe someone else who has will provide a more hopeful answer. It would also be a very good idea to try out some...

    Battery Boost

Having said that, it is REALLY nice on the Wisper, being able to engage the throttle to save the knees.... :D

    Conversion kit - Alien 24v

Firstly you might find the 24V a bit anaemic power wise, 36V is generally better in that regard, however it should still provide some useful assistance. 2ndly re: brake cut outs. Are they needed yes and no. If you can guarantee to release the throttle when you brake, no. Otherwise what will...

    Crank arm has come off

Make sure you grease the spindle (the square bit) before you put it on. Sounds backwards I know, but it helps the crank go on, and prevents it chemically welding itself onto the spindle. If you don't do this and need to remove the crank at a later date e.g. to service the bottom bracket, you...

    My frame has snapped

I hadn't thought of that, I suppose it could be an issue on a really long tube. To be honest I wasn't thinking that a proper weld would be possible. Really only thinking of a temporary solution until you get a new frame. I was thinking a nice big glob to act as the main "weld". Then...

    Faulty Motor (s)?

As I remember the basis of the approach on ES is more or less that. (Or really try every combination [keep a note of the ones you've tried] until you get one that runs nicest). However, don't try running it under load i.e. riding it, or applying max throttle that IS likely to cause damage. Just...

    My frame has snapped

Yea, saw the break on my way past this afternoon. That's naaasty! Maybe a super super long seat post set low down as a temporary measure? It's a new frame for sure I'd say. Or...(puts on steel helmet for inevitable rain of correction ;) )... how about JB Weld-ing it (wonderful stuff that JB...

    My frame has snapped

Mind you, Mussels has probably put in many more miles than most Wisper owners. Perhaps it's a late onset design issue? In any case I'm confident David will sort it (he's not having a good day is he? :( )

    Faulty Motor (s)?

Have a look on the EndlessSphere technical forums, there's a post somewhere on there that provides a method for determining the correct wiring. It certainly does sound like a wiring order mismatch.

    CrampBuster on an X-bike throttle

I've got one sitting in a drawer at home. My experiments with it made it even MORE painful as it dug into my palm. So YMMV.... Mussels wanna try it? I can leave it on your bike tommorrow if you like?

    Battery Boost

Not really...it's not a dummies thing! ( no offence intended) There are basically 2 main problems you'll have to solve: 1) Joining the batteries together. Soldering them takes some skill as excess heat can easily damage them. Ideally you TIG (?) weld them with small strips of metal. 2)...
