    E-Bike Motor Problems 36v 250w

So far we have no idea of the original controller used or display fitted. With the KT one has to also buy a comnpatible KT display for it all to work correctly, E10 error is often associated with controller communication error so if one is using a non compatible display then the bike is going...

    E-Bike Motor Problems 36v 250w

It makes life easier for us willing to help out (for free) if some pictures of the controller and motor cable connections are shown, then we can then stop guessing at what is actually fitted and how , as some bikes do vary . KT 11a 9msofet controller may be a bit too powerful for your battery...

    Greenedge cs2 battery cut out

Battery is knackered or badly out balance if only getting 10 miles out of it. 10 years old it is time to recycle it and buy another.

    Throttle or not

Regarding the speed restriction, if one releases the restriction via the display and the motor is wound for higher rpm then one will be able to pedal with power to a faster speed. Some of us had the H2Engineering Oxydrive kits some ten years years ago and they were pretty fast kits, a tad...

    Throttle or not

A 500w motor can't be made legal so your bike can never confrom to be an EAPC under UK law. A 250w labelling may pull the wool over someone's eyes if they closely look at it and may satisfy them , that is all one can hope for.

    Charged battery cuts out.

41.5v is ok , it is at the lower end of what one can expect. It is likely that voltage sag and an aging /tired battery is the issue , if the cutting out continues. If it is a speed control controller then one can't do much about it , if one had a current control controller then one could use a...

    More Seizures

I think more so that those with a disability that do their best to be out and about and be mobile (rather then those that give in and say no and sit indoors or do nothing) should look in to the realms of LPM 250w EAPC requirements. It's takes away the threat of having the bike confiscated and...

    Pedal assitant mode issue

Rain can cause shorting on the 5v line , once the moisture dries out it is likely to work again. One has to figure out where the wet is getting in, it is unlikely to be the PAS . So one will have find where the issue is. Do you have a speed control device ? Is the bike fitted with so called...

    Charged battery cuts out.

Was it 100% balance charged ? One needs to confirm full charge voltage with a meter reading. If a cell group is unbalanced then it will act as you have seen. If the full charge is circa 42v then the battery is showing advanced signs of aging , the voltage sag is indicative of an aging battery.

    More Seizures

Once you have a V5 certificate (testing fee is approx.£55) , one only needs to hve it tested once as it is a one off test. It then is a legal LPM250w EAPC a concession only legal in England and Wales and can be treated for use as any other EAPC is , albeit with a legally operated speed control...

Wisper only offer this for bikes they sell , as it is a poduct they know and design. It is for other brands to step up their game to also offer the same . Equally if one can get a certificate of confomity one can take any branded EAPC for testing or if a self build conforms to the regs also...

Is a shunt working for you

As mentioned 18a/48V should be adequate for most riders , 864w of battery power equating to approx. 600 - 620w at the hub .

    More Seizures

We don't condemn those that use a speed control device but just point out the legality and the chance one may get nicked ( but more likely have the bike confiscated) . In the case of @only me then plod may take a lenient view , however a traffic plod will likely be a different kettle of fish to...

    More Seizures

Guys it's simple as Saneagle has said. If you don't need to pedal and a speed device activates above 6mph /walk assist speed then the bike isn't an EAPC , it is in law a motor vehicle aka moped. The exception is if it is tested at a testing staion and one has a legal V5 document (a one off test)...
