Police asked me to stop using my bike!!! :( :( :(

Deus The cut off is 15 and I average over 15 on my non electric bike. But on a compact folder doing 15 is unusual. Doing 25 on the flat is exceptional and drag racing motorbikes is not normal. Doing high speed and performing like a pro rider without sweating draws attention. Cwah is highly...

Police asked me to stop using my bike!!! :( :( :(

But it is a compact bike not racer or recumbent. And out accelerating cars and bikes looks sus. Yes I hit 40 regularly and I'm not young. But the legs are moving and sweat is flowing too.

Police asked me to stop using my bike!!! :( :( :(

But 25 is still illegal and fast enough to stand out. It's 15 for a reason. It's a bike not motor bike. If you ride faster you are working hard for your speed. Or you are on a moped. Screw the nut. You have been caught and warned. If you had been slower and not tried to race the cop at the...

Police asked me to stop using my bike!!! :( :( :(

Or he could be genuine and given you fair warning. You know it's illegal and you don't have a leg to stand on. So stop breaking the law in an obvious way. Doing 30 on a funny looking motorised vehicle in a predictable pattern. It hardly takes Sherlock to catch you. If he did you next week...

Did you do hill climbing vs range vs amps draw? The KTM may have had better hill climbing ability, but for what power requirement?

I support crank on efficiency grounds. In engineering terms using gears to maintain torque over a wide speed range is classic. It also allows a greater range of speeds while maintaining efficiency. I like that. Hubs have there own advantages of simplicity which is also nice too. There is a...

The bike now has a new 36 volt Panasonic system 12 amps. It rides nice around the block but in thunderstorms it's not going any further:D Thanks JohnCade

Tillson you may not mean it as an insult but it reads rather unkindly.

What one would be the better second hand buy

Both stonking bikes. 11speed hub gives huge gear ratios and reduced maintance with longer lasting chain. Second one is still a great bike. It's warranty and replacement parts with price I suspect. Would have had either you have some taste

The worst mile per watt figures are around 20 watts per mile so that would give around 30 miles as Flecc might expect but that is with peddling. If you don't pedal and try to race up hill having visited gregs and eaten all the stock then the battery may well die very quickly. If you don't want...

The other option is to get the CD setup and buy a Shimano hub gear set up and replace the gears. Then cd drive with the hub gear changes. I would do a review but I never had any problems with derailiers before. Perhaps being mutton jeff is an advantage other than with the wife:D

The bike will get my old motor and battery so upgraded to 36 volt 2012 power. The old motor is destined for another user to fix his bike. So out of three bust ones we should get two workers

    What would you buy/build

I am thinking a tandem tricycle is an option. As you are fit a legal build could work. But low speed high torque would help with carer,s. Big amps and or additional plugin battery to get range. Keep going and good luck

    BMS Q100C 36V350W conversion kit

If your wife is fit and no significant hills then go for more than 15 mph as you are USA. The BH is torque sensor, realy intuitive just pedal and go. No need to learn any new control ideas. Speed is just assist on or off.
