Volts x Amps = Watts or W/A= V Or W/V=A your 50 watt charger with 6s (24)v will provide about 2amps and charge your 16AH of batteries in 8 hours ish. To provide 8 A you need about a 200watt supply. 24x 8.

Bike Europe draws attention to illegal tuning kits

To me you have arrived from nowhere. Then put up some provocative statements. You have had to defend and explain a high percentage of your posts. Suggested that you are comercial in intent but don't show a trade signature. You have made some good points but overall acted like a troll and...

    Cycling "midlife" crisis

Wind is the biggest factor on the flat. The motor will get you up to around 16 mph then you put in the extra. With the wind behind you need very little effort to cruse at 20 mph. Facing the wind it can be hard to do 10 mph. Enjoy the bromton. Perhaps sell the woosh and use the money to...

Bike Europe draws attention to illegal tuning kits

Because The law says it must have a max powered design speed. End off. No sense arguing that here go to your MP if you want the law changed or register the bike as an electric motor cycle.

Just make sure that the tape is clear of the recess in the inside wall of the rim so the bead can fix in.

    Tyre issue

Self depreciating humour. Shrink, head doctor. Suggesting that anyone who thinks like me is mad ergo I'm mad. Even though we were agreeing on most likely cause of your problems. The rim would only need slight weakness or damage?

    Tyre issue

You were thinking the same as me. Best go see a shrink then ;-)

    Tyre issue

It could be damage to the rim? Is the indent that the bead seats in damaged at all? As there is significant pressure any deformation could cause the slip

    Tyre issue

That's bad news, the beading that links into the rim is about to become detached and you hear a LOUD noise.

What gear system has it? Is it 7,9,10 speed hub or derailiers ? They all have an influence on chain choice

Bike Europe draws attention to illegal tuning kits

I disagree Artsu. In urban areas ( where the majority live) cycling is significantly faster that cars during the rush hour and often at other times too. Ie 15 mins or half an hour for me

Wondering if an e-bike is for me...

An ilegal bike would do what you want. But a recumbent might also help. If you are doing circa 14 mph on a diamond frame then 16 is easy on a bent(after a few months). Put a electric motor on it for uphill and 20 on the flat is easy. It would be a legal bike with serious comfort and speed...

Breaking a bike chain using a chain tool?

But it's a tool you will need to replace your chain and it's good for adjustment too.
