Spoke ticking could be a tension issue as it only occurs under stress/duress when riding. Ping all the spokes with your finger nail to see if they ping nicely or go duh, sometimes the odd one or a few may have a differing ring note.

If one has W/P connectors , it makes the job harder unless one makes up Y lead for testing. A Y lead connects in between the motor and controller. If one has bullet or block connectors then the test is easy peasy.

Simply no, no matter what you do to the settings the motor remains illegal. It is rated for 750w and that is it's designated rating , one can't simply fudge the figures to suit your needs.

The TS BB isn't to disimilar to a KT controller in operation. The 15a KT uses 1.95a /PAS1, 3a /PAS2 , 4.95A/PAS3 , 7.5a/PAS4 & 15a /PAS5. The KT doesn't need a TS specific controller though because it is torque simulation in Chinese or means current control in English.

Use 2 part epoxy glue , it should be strong once set after 24hrs. Whilst the motor cover is off check that bearing you can see marked as 6003RS, rotate it with your finger to feel how it runs. If it feels gritty or notchy at all in operation then replace it .
