A controller mosfet test is carried out via the Phase wire bullet connections in your pic and doesn't need battery, It takes approx . 5 mins max to do the test. BlownMosfets.cdr (ebikes.ca)

    Wisper Tailwind rear hub bearings

With both my Bafang BPM and CST , the bearings needed changing due to roughness in rotation. BPM less then 2k miles and CST a bit after 3k miles.

Yes do check the Hall sensor block if it is the white 6 wire DJ7061, pins do a have a habit sometimes of backing out sometimes .

    Switching from swytch

Typically the setting aren't all that hard to get right . P settings the main one's are P1 - P4 and like wise C1 & C4are critical. All the other settings are simply general user ones. C3 I prefer 0 so the default PAS is always 0 on turn on, saves any accidental triggering of the power...

    Switching from swytch

Great news , not all discs/sensors play ball but glad you have had success. A lot of folks have had issues with 12 poles in the past , though we never get to know if they set them up correctly. Obviously the C1 setting is critical but also so is the disc to sensor spacing, which needs to be...

    Switching from swytch

The 12 pole disc may work if the correct C1 parameter is set and the sensor plays ball with the disc. C1 parameter is dependant on which type of disc/sensor is used, try C1 03 or 07. If disc isn't activating PAS try reverse pedal to see if that works.

    Wisper Tailwind rear hub bearings

The bearing to most likely fail or become noisy is the end housing bearing usually on the LHS , to get at it one has to remove the motor core to remove the bearing.

    Wisper Tailwind rear hub bearings

How many miles ? Bearing do wear in hubs, it's not unreasonable to have a bad bearing now and then. If the bike is under warranty then Wisper would service/repair.

Can I fit a light weight battery to my Decathlon 500e pedelec

Tbh looking at the bike not worth the hassle of trying to rig up such a change. By the time one tries to house a controller somewhere and the battery one isn't going to save much on weight or elegance. If one had no warranty remaning then a pair of fly leads from the battery controller base...

Help! Hall Error 03 Akezbike Hall Sensor

The hub face plate doesn't come off until the gear cluster has been removed. Tracing an intermittent fault on the Hall line may be time consuming and is a process of illimination. If cable ties are used to secure the motor cable then they would be one process out of the way. I use velco ties on...

Brake sensor connectors are not found at the brake end , they are on the cable tail of the brakes . if moulded julet type connector they will terminate at the 1t4 multi connector or if sm connectors at the controller end.

Help! Hall Error 03 Akezbike Hall Sensor

Make sure the motor cable connector is pushed fully home (approx 20cm from the hub axle) , it is the most likely cause of an intermittent fault . Don't just look at it and say ok , pull the connector apart and check for traces of water ingress or damaged pins. If all ok carefully align by the...

    Woosh Woosh TS BB kit

In all essence a KT controller is as close as one can get to a mid drive TS system, to me a TS crank for a hub makes little sense as it is acting as speed control. KT has instant startup and instant stop.

    Charger fail

More often likely to be a battery issue. Plug charger in to wall & sw on. Stick meter probes in to charger charge lead to see 42v or there abouts. Charger going straight to green means BMS isn't switching to allow current flow so said BMS is detecting a battery issue. Battery might have a...

    Swytch bike problems

The grinding noise is still a commutation issue, phase doesn't have to be colour to colour. It does sound like phase wire order is incorrect . With phase and halls there ae a possible thirty six wire combo's . Yes the 36v battery should have no issue with a Tongsheng.

03 info error code on e-bike

One can carry out the tests by opening the controller. Power isn't needed to test the mosfets for failure so one shouldn't cause damage.
