    new battery

I may be wrong, but I believe the seller - H7 Engineering - used to part own Oxygen ebikes, before the current management took over. If that's correct, the story about left over stock could be true.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Where was the vid taken? I think we are in the same area, so I fancy having a go at that track.

What is the best bike for.......

Distance - anything with a bigger battery than a Kudos.

Best ebike for 40 mile per day commute (hilly!)

No legal ebike will come close to 20mph average. Even an over powered illegal one would struggle. Have you thought about a moped? A reasonable quality one can be had for £1,000 or so.

Looking for an electric bike for a heavy rider

You don't give your weight, yet you are asking if it will be a problem. 'Over 225lbs' could be anything, but assuming it's not 200lbs over then it's not relevant - any bike will carry you safely. Your weight will impact on the bike's climbing ability, so best to get something with a bit of...

How to replace an e-bike tube without removing the wheel.

They are sturdier than ordinary tubes and can easily be used all the time - that's why the butted join was designed. A member on here, I can't recall who, uses GAADI tubes all the time without any problems.

How to replace an e-bike tube without removing the wheel.

I have had a GAADI tube for a year or two, but have never had to deploy it. Looks like a quality item, it's heavier and bulkier than my other spare which is a Continental. The 'join' is butted, previous designs overlapped. Friction at the overlap could lead to failure, but the butted ends...

Is a removable display a must? Which models have them?

Damian could get a Bosch bike from the appropriately named in this case Damian Harris Cycles. I thought the Yamaha display was moveable but not removable. Could be wrong about that, perhaps an owner/retailer can confirm...

Total cost: the Cube in my link is £1,800, adding a spare battery for £700 makes the total £2,500 - only £100 more than the Focus with one battery. The dealers you mention should be able to supply eMTBs, but you may find they don't stock them. Any dealer will likely be reluctant to get one in...

    Woosh Krieger Review

Ebike batteries work and last better if they are used from full, so you may as well recharge now.

    how far

Good effort, Martin. In favourable conditions, whirring along slowly on eco setting on my Rose/Bosch, I might get somewhere near it.

John Cade has it on the Focus/Impulse. The attraction is the bigger battery, and the inverted motor is surely better protected than a Bosch bike, even if it has a bash guard. However, the larger battery Focus is £2,400 against the Cube 500wh for £1,800. Six hundred quid is a lot for an extra...

Advice on a fair price for 2nd hand bbs02

Rightly or wrongly, second hand gadgets of any kind tend not to be worth very much. Very limited market for a crank drive kit, but I suppose what helps it a bit is that stock of new ones seems a bit hit and miss. Which is my way of saying I agree with Neal, 200 notes top whack.

My remark upthread about the KTM being one of cheapest 500wh Bosch bikes needs some, er, clarification. I see Damian Harris has a couple of 2016 Cubes on pre-order at £1,799. This one has the 500wh battery and the CX motor. Gearing is nine speed, lower spec than the 11 speed of the KTM, but...

Plugging your phone into the Bosch Intuvia console

Riding a quality, lightweight - mountain - bike in your case is a much nicer experience than riding a similar ebike - provided you are fit enough. An ordinary mountain bike is easier to control and balance, and much easier if you have to negotiate obstructions such as restricting gates or...

Plugging your phone into the Bosch Intuvia console

If you want to get a bit fitter, you've managed to buy the right bike. The Bosch system makes you put some effort in. However, the fitness gains will be nothing like they would be doing the same route on an ordinary push bike. Your remark about eMTBs becoming more mainstream is correct. On...

    Please be kind

You spec the wheel size in the text box of the order form - at the bottom of the page in this example. The wheel size needs to be the same as the other wheel on the donor bike. Choosing the rpm of the motor is a bit more complicated, depending on whether you want speed or torque. This is what...

    Haibike Sduro engine mounting bolts

Dome nuts on the Rose which look reasonable quality. However, despite the serrated washer underneath they do seem prone to loosening, so maybe they are not the best. I've never liked dome nuts, irrational, but I like to see a bit of bolt thread protruding to show the nut's thread is fully used.

    Newbie looking for advice

Pro Rider has been around a while as a brand, which may say something. Standard cheap Chinese ebike which might be OK for occasional light use. The Byocycle you tried looks slightly better quality.
