    Magura hydraulic brake cut-off switch

I can't really do that Old_Dave - there is no solder point on the outside under the sleeve (it's a proper weatherproof external fitting and everything is sealed in under wax-type sealing compound so without completely breaking open the switch there's no way to get at that end, only the connector...

    Magura hydraulic brake cut-off switch

Controller end The KU123 controller has a 2-wire input connection labelled low voltage brake wire (seen here on the right with blue/yellow) and seems tied in to a mystery black connector in the middle (3-wrie / small black connector - of which the red wire is tied in to the throttle array and...

    Magura hydraulic brake cut-off switch

Going to put this on its own thread .... Switch arrived from Germany today :). Now I just need to work out how to get it to work with my KU123 Controller ! A few basics for recap ... it's an in-line switch and I'm using it because my bike has XT combination brake/gear shift levers which I...

    E-Bike Fuel Gauge

Those were my original thoughts, Dave, and been looking into it. Trouble is the CA display is just too big to be permanently mounted on the bike. I haven't got space on the handlebars for my phone mount if I get CA (Galaxy S3 is huge and has to go where the CA display would go ... and I need to...

    E-Bike Fuel Gauge

Is a 20Ah battery going to be too big for this meter ? Just reading through the original JH ES post it looks like the 'reset' switch is on the controller - does that mean you have to be able to access the controller for use, or could the reset switch be sited on the display instead somehow ...

    CST - it's all working

Ah. Should be able to get one in by the end of the week then hopefully and rig up easily to test. The idea wasn't to move the sensor between bikes it was to have one sensor installed compatible with either Speedict or Cycle computer on Bike 1 and the other sensor compatible just with Cycle...

DIN charging kit - can it be powered off bike battery ?

Thanks a lot. Ah .. so all circuits coming off it must be same voltage ? (i.e. if I step down to 12v then I need to power everything off it at 12V also otherwise I need another step-down converter to set at a different output ? Is this all back to V=IxR ? ... whilst I managed an 'A' in...

DIN charging kit - can it be powered off bike battery ?

One converter for both lights and phone off different circuits or 2 converters, one each for lights / phone ?

    CST - it's all working

Yep. :D :( OK I understand that ... and thanks on the connectors - seem to have spent more time investigating connectors and switches recently than working on the bike lol. I'd better check back when I find a cycle computer I want then I guess and we can check it's compatible with...

    CST - it's all working

Mmkay .... dunno what any of that means tbh lol... in basic terms can I have one sensor installed that will run either Speedict or cycle computer (or both together) without having to take things off and put them back on again to switch between (which would be regular) ?

    CST - it's all working

OK great and yes, will do. I don't own a cycle computer yet so another thing to add to the shopping list (!). Can I fit one to the front and the other to the back if I later get a Speedict ? Presume I need 2 sensors, one each for the Speedict and the cycle computer as alternatives - so I can...

250 deliverd a bike with hydrawlic disc brakes

Bargain. Really good price. Do you reckon it was the orange and lime green colourways that didn't sell as well as they thought they might

    CST - it's all working

Is the best way to test speed / RPM to put a cycle computer on it or is there some other gadget people use for this ?

DIN charging kit - can it be powered off bike battery ?

I like it a lot :D ... can you use that step-down converter to feed more than one circuit ? think what I'm going to do, Dave, is initially pop the battery and gubbins in a rack bag for on-road testing and until Speedict sort out the Bluetooth issues (or if they can't then until I've sorted out...

    CST - it's all working

FINALLY ... got my ducks in a row ... rigged up the torque arm and checked final setup as it will be on finished bike. Bolt is exactly the right size. so ..... bike upside down, throttle connected to controller, battery connected to controller and controller to motor with Hall Sensor pins...

CST Motor connection lead - what are the 5 pins ?

Thanks d8veh. I think I'm ready to test the motor at least on the upturned dropouts of the bike (I guess this is how you do it if the wheel has no tyres yet ?). Just to be absolutely sure, am I good to go testing the motor with the Hall sensor pins popped in that connector and not touching...

    Trouble shooting a broken bike

Just for my general education, what exactly is a "shunt" and where is it found on a PCB ?
