CST Motor connection lead - what are the 5 pins ?

Agreed - picked a few up earlier at the machining place too ... will add to finish off. Love it when a plan comes together ... and looks really neat, will just disappear once the brake disc is on the motor and the rack is remounted, and as it's basically fitted to measure it's as solid as a rock...

CST Motor connection lead - what are the 5 pins ?

Gone one better ... attacked it with a hammer and my bastard file ... have now got the desired 'kink' in it which they didn't do as asked either ... and as fortune would have it this pushed their hole off centre, so what remains to receive the original bolt diameter to match the rack mount and...

CST Motor connection lead - what are the 5 pins ?

Ah - hadn't got round to looking at it until last night to be honest. I went to Maplins today again to try to get various things and asked if they had one but they didn't. If you have one to spare that would be appreciated - or else if there's somewhere in UK I can buy one from on mail order I...

    Bridge from battery to controller

Heck, it's not easy to find ones with water/dustproof covers is it lol. Been at it for hours and finally tracked this down for use with an XLR male : 3-Pin XLR female chassis socket with end waterproof cap XLR123,View 3-Pin XLR female chassis socket with end waterproof cap,Accuracy Pro Audio...

    New build.

amigafan, can you give us a bit more info on how this actually works ? I seem to recall from somewhere that you adapted an immobilizer or something like that  .. do you use a remote control or something ?

CST Motor connection lead - what are the 5 pins ?

Like this ? The block the pins are in is labelled Motor Hall Sensor on the BMS guidance sheet I checked all the bits I received and the only unused connector left in there is this one : There are 5 very small pins in there along with a black terminal with 5 holes arranged in a...

newbie...a short list for pros/cons advice or any better recommendations

Glad to hear you tested the Scott - not many people report back on that. Are you able to get back to test the Kalkhoffs ? Would be very interesting now you've tested the ones you have. If you want to compare the Nuvinci drive then you need to get back up to Hampton Wick ;) The Neo Cross is...

    Bridge from battery to controller

OK. I can use one of the other wires from the flex that came out of (cut off the plug from an old Sony Laptop power lead and cannibalised the wires from within).

    Speedict Support

That's helpful - many thanks. The Speedict solution is definitely neater than the CA ... Cycle Analyst takes up a large mounting space it would be useful to leave free for phone, so definitely would be great to hear results of jackhandy's tests to see if the Bluetooth ROM compatibility issues...

    Bike "Computer"

Oh - I SEE ! Thought they had to be threaded on down the spoke from the top and thinking "does not compute, does not compute" :o. It's been a long day trying to bend the mind round too many concepts with no bits in front of me ... so another misconception corrected to add to the ever-growing...

new build using d8veh old back wheel

Very interesting - never seen any threads of anyone actually doing this before :) .. I wonder if the 500W CSTs and 500W BPMs are the same and the old CST 250W one is different to both ?

    Speedict Support

OK - bit of a bottleneck for my project because if it is unreliable I will have to investigate a different way of getting the speed / battery capacity readings on LCD and make allowances for cabling if needed :(. A couple of things - if you want to use Speedict in place of a cycle computer...

    Bike "Computer"

Can anyone tell me please, do all speed sensors need a wheel magnet ? I want to have a speed sensor display and just starting to look into the computer options etc. like Cateye, and other systems like Speedict and Cycle Analyst. If I need to put a sensor magnet on my wheel it means I'm going to...

    Bosch bikes under £1600??

Just remember you cannot get bikes through that route and take advantage of c2w. Not sure what arrangement your employer has in place about monthly rentals and agreed final instalment cost under their scheme but depending on your income levels the tax savings of getting a competitively priced...

Why are motorbikes so much better value than bicycles?

Indeed - and back full-circle to my comment on another thread to the effect that having seen how rubbish some of their other products are in domestic electricals when I first started looking at eBikes in the non-kit market, I wrote anything with that Brand involved off as a no-go area. With a...

    Bridge from battery to controller

That's fantastic - clear as day :D Just to confirm then - the wires from battery +ve on the switch to the toggle switch and toggle switch to controller connector are thin red wires from flex like I made the loop with ? Where the wire from toggle switch joins the 'loop' on the controller...

Why are motorbikes so much better value than bicycles?

A decent set of forks I can understand charging a couple of hundred more for, and looked at ergo support grips - the ones with ergo risers are quite nice actually for about £50. It's the Ultegra Di2 which has become the new shifting system fad (electric) and most bikes with this come in...

    Speedict Support

Very seriously considering getting a Speedict at the moment - must admit to having as much understanding of what's being posted up here as I did about motors and controllers a few weeks ago (i.e. one is heavy and the other is a bunch of wires in a box) but no doubt it will get clearer down the...

    Wiring connector options

I'm getting used to the soldering now after making a connection lead and swapping the kettle plugs on the battery for Deans ones. So not worried about changing the connectors if the end result is really good ones which I can mount in a control panel and get as near to a flush finish as possible...
