I believe it's the actual marketplace, amazon. ebay, aliexpress that are required to apply the VAT at the point of sale thus collecting it on the sellers behalf, then I would assume the seller has to print the marketplaces VAT number and post it, I would hope its that simple.

Did you keep the packaging - I would like to see the customs declaration - if not no worries. I really hope so, I have ordered two cross blades for my juicer (amazon) and some ecig stuff from Fasttech I am under no illusion that the fasttech package will get through as I was never charged VAT...

I can second PSWpower for quality I purchased a different battery.. Like egroover mentions I would be cautious purchasing anything from overseas, not so much the extra charges/cost but the fact that if the seller gets the declaration wrong your parcel may not even arrive, it would be refunded...
