Question re what conversion kit will allow slow-pedalling/give knees a rest

Does anyone know if this CST 250w (350w/'HT'/180mm) rated 36v can take a 48v battery? It turns out it is mega crap on hills at 36v even at 23a, and forget about it at 15a. It is definitely nowhere near a 201rpm. 270+ more like. I get 22mph easy on the flat on throttle at 15a, and 25mph with a...

24V/36V/48V top quality electric bike battery

Hi, Can you supply 48v Li-ion 09 type batteries? How much would that be and how much for shipping, for various capacities and battery brands? Thanks

    GPS tracking

I don't but had a look on eBay and if you type in 'gps tracker ' there are lots for not much money. Bit of a gamble, I'd go for insurance too.

Bafang CST 180mm vibration/resonance at low revs when using KU93 controller

I've got the new dual hall from BMS ( this one ), installed on the left, and and this 12 pole one from Elifebike installed on the right (I haven't taken it off yet until I know the new one works). Neither PAS works going forwards or backwards unfortunately; I've checked the wiring and the...

    I came, I saw, I want one!

I thought discs were superior but then found not only did my v brakes grip better and squeak less, but the rear disc stopped my pannier rack and mudguard fitting (and to think I paid for this privilege too!) On London roads suspension forks are not a bad idea!

Bafang CST 180mm vibration/resonance at low revs when using KU93 controller

Oh dear - can't seem to get the PAS to work on the KU93. I've taken a photo of the wiring - the middle wire is a yellow. Would you have any ideas please?

    Big Bear Hub Jamming

Can anyone recommend a type of aftermarket sealant/grease for applying without taking anything apart? And that won't drip on carpet and hopefully not get brushed onto clothing etc

Bafang CST 180mm vibration/resonance at low revs when using KU93 controller

Yes, bridging the pins on the three speed connector does make the speed go up and then down.

Bafang CST 180mm vibration/resonance at low revs when using KU93 controller

You hit the nail on the head. When I checked the hall sensor wires after reading your post, they were all in a totally different order on the controller connector , to what they were on the motor side. This disorder of wires is what made my led display blow up earlier today -I guess each...

Bafang CST 180mm vibration/resonance at low revs when using KU93 controller

Thanks D8veh. I've tried that now and it was the same. It's just a bit boomy and resonant at the low revs, do you know what I mean, making a sort of whoop noise? It's not actually rough per se. It's just noisier than the 6 fet 14a compact controller I'm used to, and makes the motor whine at...

    The Best Value Wattmeter

Yes I'm trying to make a virtue of well-ordered ugliness on the bike at the moment, thankfully the frame is black-coloured. Thanks D8veh.

Bafang CST 180mm vibration/resonance at low revs when using KU93 controller

Hi all, I've just installed my KU93 but there's a slightly disconcerting resonance/vibration at low revs on the Bafang CST HT 250w. After I discovered this, I tried using the self-learn cable, but all that happened was it automatically span the motor (gears?) without the motor itself spinning...

    The Best Value Wattmeter

I've read that the wire can cause resistance of 1 to 1.25v per metre - that's 2-2.5 volts if I attach the wattmeter to my handlebars, instead of putting it in the controller bag with a very short wire. That sounds quite significant, maybe a loss of 5-6%+ of power and thus efficiency, so shorter...

    Bikes on trains

Hi Mary, I bring my ebike on the train several days a week. I would never remove the battery because it's part of the bike and it's already a considerable effort (and I am a big bloke) to drag the whole thing on and off the train without extra faff, and an effort already to move the bike to...

How to make hand throttle less inefficient?

No customs fee, five days to arrive, brilliant.

    The Best Value Wattmeter

Fantastic. Yes I do have an LED panel. However the red wire leading to it is incredibly thin, suprising to think there's 36v going through that! Still it's good to not have to splice into the thick battery positive, always slightly disconcerting.

    The Best Value Wattmeter

Thanks. Perhaps I'm better keeping it at 36v. My fear was the glowing blue ' on ' light on the 09 battery would attract vandals or mean the system was discharging or both -would you know is the discharge quite substantial for leaving the battery powered on over a day? (ku93 controller + 810)...

    The Best Value Wattmeter

Thanks, do you mean spliced into the black load/output wire which also goes back to the controller? Here's what I think you mean: 36v negative (black) to wattmeter source/input; then output runs to controller, but is also spliced into the 9v battery negative. 9v positive goes straight to...

    The Best Value Wattmeter

Good stuff. Is there another way to power it, say from a 9v (or other type of) battery, so as to take advantage of the tiny power draw and keep the data onscreen when the main bike battery is switched off? I've got the blue one with the unlit screen. There are three power poles (?) for...

    The Best Value Wattmeter

Thanks D8veh. That's a great help. Is the positive input wire, powered by splicing it into the thick wire coming from the battery ?
