    Bike light: How many lumens?

You shouldnt really need two bar lights with LED technology, the spread is usually quite even. If you do want to run two light i'd highly recommend helmet mounting one of them, then you get "light where you look" for example around a corner that turns back on itself. I have two Blackburn Flea...

    Horny youths

Yes, i've had that done a few times. Once i lost it completely on one guy who did that. :o Quite ashamed, looking back. These days i sort of expect the odd idiot to do that, so it doesnt startle me, i just smile and wave.

    Helmet Cameras

I gave quite a bit of thought in which term to use, i chose motorists because it includes all large heavy internal combustion engined vehicles, regardless of their wheels. Drivers excludes motorcycles for example. I dont think everyone rides by choice, for some its a necessity, for cost...

    Helmet Cameras

I'm not sure you shouldnt pick on motorists here. As a general rule, cyclists and pedestrians are not capable on killing the other party in a collision (yes i know there are rare exceptions).

    Bike light: How many lumens?

Yes, a good budget choice from DealExtreme, a lot go for those. Remember to factor in a two cell 18650 battery charger and at least two batteries. Always have both charged and use one as a backup.

I have this one which is fine, so long as you take the phone off if it rains. There are waterproof mounts, but they're expensive and dont work so great with the touch screen.

    Advice - New To E-Bikes

I think the Alien Aurora is ideal for you, range is slightly under 20 miles on high power for me, but i've got 3 stone on you with probably much more hilly terrain, and realistically, you'd switch to medium assist to eek out any extra range you need. You'll exceed 25 miles in medium, and...

    80cc motorized Bike kit

Also: and further down: then right at the bottom: And there's no way you'll pass VOSA single vehicle approval with the unguarded driven chain from the engine to wheel passing inside your thigh.

    80cc motorized Bike kit

No, your bike becomes an unregistered, uninsured moped in the eyes of the law. Its gonna sound like a swarm of angry bees and draw attention everywhere too.

That is interesting BLACKPANTHER, do you think it would be suitable for a spot of touring/camping?

    e-bike range calculator iphone app

£1.79, but its best to test thoroughly, for example i have Cyclemeter, which is great in all aspects, except the speed reading is about 10 seconds delayed, so when you glance down to see how fast you're going, its how fast you were going. Sounds a small thing, but it completely ruins the app for me.

Ortlieb Back Roller Classic, the reviews on Wiggle say far more than i ever could eg rated 4.8 out of five from 187 review, and 184 of those would recommend to a friend. Here's mine, it looks small here because you can just roll it up more when you arent carrying much:

What do you think about this Buying Guide?

Google maps cycle routes are still USA only as far as i'm aware? Also: Well no, this is a guide for an electric bike. Perhaps better wording would be "Its a good indication of a quality bike". Otherwise, its a really good guide.

    Helmet Cameras

As we dont have collision insurance companies to fight in our corner, a camera does indeed seem to be a good solution. I too am leaning towards getting one for my commute.

    New E Koga

£800 for an extra battery!? £2800 for the bike!? Given the spec that's really an optimistic price. A non-electric bike of that spec would cost about £1200 max, so what's the extra £1600 buying, even factoring in an £800 battery, thats still £800 for a 250w hub motor and controller.

    Please Help Me To Choose

Perhaps a used Panasonic bike of some sort then? But of course, Joan would need a test ride to see if it was suitable. Thats about all i can think of.

    Please Help Me To Choose

Flecc, i know its out of Joan's price range, but would a Panasonic motored bike not meet her needs better anyway? I wouldnt know, because i've never ridden one, but the ability to gear down the motor must help, right?
