That's good to know, in a bizarre good way. I think a chain ring with a bit more offset would sort the problem. Have you come across anything in this forum or Endless Sphere, on whether different offset chain rings are available?

The Bafang chain ring is 48t, which is exactly the same as the largest front derailleur ring that I took off. I do think that it is an offset thing though.

Pulled the trigger on a Lezyne Sport Drive HV pump from CRC. Only £13.49 with free delivery. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread and helped me make an informed decision. Will write a short review on the pump, once I have received it and given it a try.

Can someone confirm if the Lezyne ABS (Air Bleed System) feature is only really used with the Presta valves, and I could go for their Sport Drive HV pump instead. Why pay for a feature that I won't use.
