    Ultra HD Television Sets

It's starting to look a little dated, especially around the front end. I would never underestimate the Chinese though, European car builders beware.

    Nuclear Weapons, Space Exploration etc.

Phew! What a relief. Good old expendable poor people. They make all our cheap ** for us, that we don't really need l, and then due to save food.

    Nuclear Weapons, Space Exploration etc.

Nuclear weapons seem to be at a stalemate. Nations which posses them will never use them because the consequence of doing so is a nuclear retaliation which will be equally devastating. I wonder if this has kept a kind of peace? If nuclear weapons had not existed, would more conventional war have...

    Ultra HD Television Sets

I remember that there were some very good deals on the Rover 75 shortly after the company went under. I always thought that the 75 wasn't a bad car, particularly the MG and especially at the much reduced price. I've never driven one, or been a passenger in one so I might be completely wrong, but...

    Ultra HD Television Sets

I think that OLED sets will become more affordable and hence popular in the coming months / years. Definitely an area which will develop. This is always an issue with technology of this nature, something which promises an even better experience tends to be just a few months away. That then...

    Ultra HD Television Sets

Thanks flecc, some useful information here. I looked at the Sony, but the 55" model is too wide for where I want to put it. All of my previous sets have been Sony, but this time I think it will be Samsung or LG, with the Samsung being a whisker ahead. The JU7000 upscales the input source...

    Ultra HD Television Sets

I need to replace my old Sony TV with a new one. I'm looking at some of the Ultra HD sets offered by Samsung in the JU7000 range. Anyone in the know regarding UHD? Is it worth the extra cost or is the technology still in it's infancy? Thanks

    Does bicycle weight really matter?

I can totally see the point in the Coboc bike. There must be a market for a light weight ebike which provides moderate and intermittent assistance. This is backed up by the fact that Cytronex have been in business, selling to this niche market, longer than most of the contributors to this thread...

    Fantic Fat ebikes

I like the look of fat bikes. A friend has one (non-electric) and they are very capable off road, on par with a conventional mountain bike when terrain is taken overall. What I like is the simplicity of using tyres for pneumatic suspension and for traversing soft ground. MTB manufacturers seem...

Has Giant manufactured their own crank drive system?

I quite like this one that another member linked to a while back. http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bikes/model/road.e.1/24987/90635/ I'm not 100% sure about the marriage of road bike and electric bike due to weight issues. The two don't seem compatible somehow, but I do like the look of it...

    Covert Ops

But when they start doing it, they do so with regular frequency.

    Covert Ops

I've just remembered a thread in which someone calling themselves jresa was posting bad reviews regarding a bike: http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/electric-mountain-bikes-no-one-will-buy-one.22070/page-12#post-277344 Most of what he said was removed from the thread. They stopped posting...

    Covert Ops

But who are they and which user names are they posting under? I have no idea which bike dealer has four lap-top computers and I don't understand the necessity for cryptic or coded replies. The identity of these individuals is either known or it is not known. If their identity is known, then it...

    Covert Ops

Who are the traders who engage in this practice and which user names do they post under? I think it would be useful to know.

    Covert Ops

OK, thanks, I didn't know that. A bit of a grey area as to whether you are, "trade" or not. I can't really see any harm either way. I thought we had trade members signing in with false user IDs and then pretending to be satisfied customers, giving glowing reviews of their products. That would...

    Covert Ops

I agree. It needs to stop. Who are they? Can we have the user names of those who carry out this practice?

Cadence Sensor, Torque Sensor or Throttle?

I voted for torque sensor only. If it is anything other than this, then its not a man's bicycle, it's a moped or a bike for girls. :)

Difficulties getting an e-car, Part 2

I think that the huge discount speaks volumes about electric cars. I really want to like them and to be inspired to buy one, but I can't. However I look at it, their limitations need to be reflected in the purchase price and as I said before, in my circumstances, that would be about £5000...

    Eyewear for Cyclists

These are pretty good, but old. Thinking about it, I could have had them six years or more. Maybe the more recent models have suffered in terms of quality.

    Eyewear for Cyclists

I find that they can work against you on foggy days. The fine droplets of moisture in the atmosphere constantly build up on the lens reducing visibility to zero. I usually end up not using glasses in such weather.
