The akm128 label will say it is 500w or 800w (they do fall off) unless they have changed the marking to a laser etched one. Though due to it's relative small size I doubt in any one will disagree with any 250w label placed on it.

A coupke things to be wary of ; 1. The front derailleuer may not handle the larger chain wheel. 2. The chain may need extra links added.

If it is front wheel drive I would check the motor wiring an motor connector as already mentioned. Any brake lever wih sensor can be ruled out by disconnecting them at the controller.

Error 8 is a hall sensor fault. Error 22 is a Comms abnomality in BMS fault. LSPD is the speed limit setting 32 is max speed in km/h. I have not come across the P setting's for the C961 lcd before but interestingly err 22 is on all ten the P7 adv settings, the fact there are ten P7's to me...

It's a shame , the 250/350w RX hub is the same hub just marked different for the markets. 250w doesn't cut it in North america and I guess some othr markets but 350w sounds alot more impressive.

The percieved hub motor drag on a geared hub is purely the extra weight/mass centralised in the wheel that one must overcome when no power is used. Unlike a normal bike wheel which has a small 200g spokes hub the motor can be anything form 1.4kg - 4.4kg , most OEM hubs will be 3kg or more so...
