Controller won't cut off at 25km-15m/h

there may be a bug in the controller or LCD software, try these steps out - see if any of them work: 1. test for maximum speed using the throttle 2. test for maximum speed using the pedelec 3. change the communication protocol

    Leaving the EU

wouldn't it be a result from proportional representation leading to stable and successful coaltion governments?

    Leaving the EU

I think the issue of immigration and border control is a line in the sand for the get out votes. It affects disproportionately England.

    Leaving the EU

As I was watching Patrick Minford making the case for us quitting the EU to the Select Committee, he was saying that our exports to the EU accounts for 9% of GDP therefore the costs [on 100% of the economy]/benefits is not justified, I am not convinced. I think the reasons to leave are...

    Leaving the EU

even if the exit camp wins the referendum, it's clear that the current conservative government would not want to leave the EU. They will keep negotiating for as long as necessary until they can organize next referendum. Don't think a labour government has any more appetite for leaving either.

BW inferred that's the case but it would re-assure all members who are thinking of getting a new e-bike with throttle that their bike is 100% legal if we could have a quote from their correspondence with the DfT.

I can understand from a dealer's perspective, having a few bikes with throttle bought in before the law changed, it seems fair that these bikes remain legal. But do all imported bikes before Jan 1st have automatically 'grandfathers rights'? somehow I doubt that the DfT would confirm that it's...

The real issue is for the customer when he/she is involved in an accident. What will you (traders), say then? Will your professional indemnity insurance cover you against the cost of litigation? I do hope for everyone's sake, that you have consulted with the DfT. Planemo put it neatly in post #21:

Clacking noise - Kalkhoff Impulse 2 motor

in 2012, Derby Cycles sell about 104,000 e-bikes, comprising of Kalkhoff, Raleigh, Univega and Rixe. Even if Kalkhoff sales account for the lion share of e-bike sales, their models are spread between 3 motors. I find the claim of 400,000 impulse motors sold a bit OTT.

David, is this their (BAGB members') interpretation of the law or they have had some correspondence with the DfT? How the dealer or the police are going to know if a bike is imported before certain date?

he should use plastic spacers to load the cells in. Glue can't stop fire burning through the cell skin even when the cells are well protected.

I like that Broese motor, much more than Bosch, Impulse and Yamaha. It's very, very well designed. Then there is the clever BMS, the good integration of the battery into the frame and the very reasonable price. Perfect score from me.

you can modulate the motor power from 0% to 90% quickly, precisely and without lag with a throttle. Can't do that quickly with the up/down assist buttons. It's really mean to take that facility away from those who appreciate it.

where are the controllers on woosh ebikes?

no, but very similar. I think the controller from bmsbattery is made by KT electronics. All the woosh controllers are made by Lishui.

where are the controllers on woosh ebikes?

the Karoo has the controller integrated into the battery cradle. The Sport TS also has the controller integrated to the the base of the battery cradle. The Big Bear has the controller in the plastic box in front of the rack battery. This is the wiring on the Karoo:

    NuVinci

you have two types of NuVinci, the one with automatic shifting is the Harmony. The other type is the Infinity. The Harmony is of course more expensive because it comes with an integrated computer. http://www.nuvincicycling.com/en/products/overview.html TBH, for hilly terrain, if you get a BPM...
