    Helmet Lights

That is the one. I see it was crowdfunded in 2012 and is on sale for about £90, so I wonder what the Dragons can do with it.

    Bosch bearings

Service for other Bosch gadgets appears quite well thought out. I imagine they must have considered integrating the ebikes somehow, but perhaps sales are too few to justify it. http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/customer-service.html http://www.bosch-garden.com/gb/en/garden-tools/service/index.jsp

    Kalkhoff Sahel Premium i360 Harmony

"Switching to fully automatic means simply twisting the grip to a preset pedal cadence – the computer display on our test bike indicated anything from about 35rpm to 90rpm was achievable at a more or less steady rate, whatever the riding conditions." Looks like it should come up on the display...

    Bosch bearings

Most of this thread is about warranty work. I doubt you would have the same problems getting a Bosch bike fixed as a paying customer. Paying or not, the expertise is thinner on the ground than it should be, so there would be some messing around getting the broken bike and the man who knows how...

    Helmet Lights

The trailer for this weekend's Dragon's Den showed a helmet with integrated lights. Looked like it could have been a cycle helmet, but may not have been. Worth a look at the programme if you can stand the sanctimonious know-all panel.

    Saddle sore already!

If the Brookes is comfy on the Brommie, it ought to be OK on the Kudos - both bikes have a similar upright riding position. Do you wear cycle shorts, padded or otherwise? Ordinary underwear tends to ruck while cycling and scrape against the tender bits.

    Bosch bearings

You will know better than I, but this attitude to service has been ingrained in the bike industry for many years. When bikes were simpler, retailers could paper over the cracks. That's harder to do with ebikes. Improvements in customer service elsewhere makes the cycle industry appear even...

    Bosch bearings

Not forgetting the general shortage of Bosch motors which, unhappily for Wissy, may have coincided with her need for one.

    Bosch bearings

I find it unlikely Shimano's production is so finely tuned that every Nexus hub is committed for months in advance. There simply must be a spare in stock somewhere in the supply chain. So why is the customer forced to rely on the goodwill of the retailer to cannibalise a stock bike? It must...

Is this the best value new bike, release soon?

I agree the power in a derailleur bike ought to be along the top line of the chain. But this doesn't explain why derailleurs exploded when linked to clonky Chinese crank drives. Perhaps, as KudosDave says, it's all down to the change. My faith in any 'shift assist' system is limited, so I...

Is this the best value new bike, release soon?

Is the derailleur system up to it? I ask partly because in another thread KudosDave posted: "I cannot find anything wrong with a good quality derailleur system(Alivio or Deore) provided that you are not trying to feed a crank drive motor system through it." This KTM bike has Alivio derailleurs...

My understanding is the Bosch system uses an ISIS bottom bracket. I wonder if the white cog on the bottom bracket in d8's pic will disassemble leaving a replaceable ISIS bottom bracket.

Has Anyone Ridden at a Trail Centre?

Leaving aside electric bikes for a moment, riders travelling at different speeds can be a problem at trail centres. Not least because I believe a lot of routes now appear on stupid Strava, encouraging test pilots. I expect you will receive a sarky comment or two, not least from the Strava...

    Woosh CD Sport Disc Brakes

Some of them also function as pad wear indicators, although I've never grasped how - despite someone explaining it on here once.

    Woosh CD Sport Disc Brakes

Almost certainly they are to stuff between the pads when you take the wheel out to prevent the pads closing. Quite handy, although a bit of folded cereal packet will do the same job.

Kalkhoff Pro Connect Xion X24 for sale

I'm not saying you should buy it, but the size is almost certainly right for you. The handlebars adjust upwards a few inches if you like an upright position and you will be able to get 6" or more from the seatpost which will be plenty.

Advice please from 2013 Kalkhoff Endeavour Owners

Roadies rate the forearm on the bars position for aerodynamic efficiency. There were some stubby tri bars a few years ago which were later banned by the UCI governing body. The problem with them is you will eviscerate the rider in front in the peloton in the event of a pile up. My aero tuck...
