    Conhismotor electric bike

The one on eBay wont go any faster, it's limited by its 24 volt battery!! Slight specification exaggeration me thinks  If it was geared to go faster than 15mph, then it would take forever to reach top speed.

I doubt if anything that weight and size will get through customs without getting slapped with import tax. They do mention this in the blurb though. Bike looks ok to me :)

Further to the question from Mussels. What's the voltage of the battery hot off a full charge? The Cyclamatic controller is really robust, so unlikely to be that, unless one of the connectors to the controller is a bit loose. The controller housing at the bottom of the crank isn't protected...

    a bit of a drag

My mistake :o The only reason I have been calling them drum brakes, is that they are uncannily similar to rear drum brakes on cars I have serviced in the past. Apart from cable operated and not hydraulic of course. There's no grease hole on the Cyclamatic, and it looks effectively to be a no...

    a bit of a drag

My bikes coverered around 1500 miles. When I took the servo brake off a few weeks ago, there was plenty of brake shoe material left on both shoes. I had a problem with squealing many months ago, which started only after I had removed the rear wheel to fix a puncture. The whole drum assembly...

    a bit of a drag

If you've got a rear drum brake similar to this, then it may be dragging. Easy enough to check and adjust. 1) Make sure that the cable attached to the drum brake lever (see picture) isn't too tight. The drum brake lever needs to be allowed to go back to its full resting position, when the...

    Tonaro Bighit Remarkable Battery Range

And people complain about speed cameras and electronic speed signs. I say put one on every street, then I wouldn't have to spend a tenner on a bike computer ;)

Anyone from Sheffield know a bout the wonderful batteries offers

Haven't bought anything from them, but did e-mail them a couple of times and got a quick and informative response. The aluminium cased 36v battery they sell, is the 36v version of the 24v Cyclamatic battery. Didn't get it in the end, in case it was too much voltage for the components. Then I...

    Is this project sheer lunacy?!

Think you will find that this is the connector you are after: Electric Bike Battery - Lithium Conversion Kit | eBay If you are going to use the Cyclamatic battery to power your project, you need to be aware of a couple of things if you are planning to use a more powerful motor/controller...
