TGA on Ebay only 4 hours left

Judging by other British manufacturing flops, I can guess what the quality of this bike is like  Austin, Rover, Morris, Triumph and MG to name but a few :D

    Ping battery BMS lights

I knew Cellman's 45A controller would kill a 15Ah Ping very quickly, which is why I compromised with his 30A unit. I will probably dial the C.A. to run at 25A, but it's always nice to have a little bit of headroom. Another reason, is that I was informed that running a 9 FET at a lower rating...

    Ping battery BMS lights

MAC 500w 10T, 30A controller and Cycle Analyst to turn things down a bit, if it's a bit too feisty running 30A.

    Ping battery BMS lights

Yep, connected all the wiring by the book. So I assume I need to just plug in the charger and let it do its business for a good while. Then all the lights should start to illuminate, as each cell reaches optimal charge?

    Ping battery BMS lights

Just received my custom 48v 15Ah Ping. The process was a pleasure from start to finish, I must add. Ping is a very professional vendor. The battery is fantastically constructed and looks superb. Just one question regarding the lights on the BMS. Do they light, only when charging and...

How exactly do 3 speed throttle switches work?

Does anyone know if the Cycle Analyst speed limit function, limits the speed in a similar way? The direct plug in plus speed sensor type.

How exactly do 3 speed throttle switches work?

Thanks flecc and NRG. So in reality, position 1 should give better controllability of the motor at low speeds, because it spreads the lower speed range over the whole of the twist of the throttle?

How exactly do 3 speed throttle switches work?

I realise that the job of these switches is to provide a 3 stage speed limit, but how do they do this? Say the bike operates like this: position 1: 8mph position 2: 12mph position 3: 16mph (full speed of bike) When the bike is speed limited in position 1, does the throttle spread this...

Fitting a slightly bigger tyre size?

Specialized 26" x 2.0 Fast Trak LK to Schwalbe Marathon Plus MTB 26" x 2.1 I can't see an issue here, but had a niggle in the back of my mind, that tyre sizes and rims might work like car tyres and rims. Go outside of the recommended optimum range, and handling can be badly affected.

Fitting a slightly bigger tyre size?

My Specialized Hardrock has got 26" x 2.0 tyres fitted as standard. Would there be any problem in fitting 26" x 2.1 tyres? The reason I am asking, is that even though the difference appears tiny to me, I'm not sure if the width of the tyre changes with the bigger tyre size, causing problems on...

    Removing rear gear cogs?

I read somewhere, that all you need to do when fitting a screw on freewheel, is screw it on and hand tighten it. The action of human power moving the chain against the freewheel, keeps it tight on the spindle. In reality, no tools are needed to fit. Is this correct???

Are these mid mount motor kits any good?

Come on and humour me, are these type of kits any good, or a bit of a pfaff on to fit and maintain? Motor Kits

    cyclematic power plus

Try cleaning the face of the pedelec sensor and disc on the crank, with some cotton buds and window cleaner. Not the cream type stuff, but the vinegary watery type. Should remove any dirt and grease from the sensor, if that's the problem :)

Thinking Of Not Fitting The Brake Switches ?

I pondered this question when planning out my new summer build. The current bike that I have (Cyclamatic), has a half twist throttle and cut-offs. Maybe it's the way that I ride, but I have on occasion still got the throttle partially open when coming to a stop. Without cut-off levers, this...

    Removing rear gear cogs?

OK, got it now, will check when hub motor arrives. Freewheel or Cassette? No more silly questions :o

    Removing rear gear cogs?

So do all hub motors use a freewheel type cogset? and If I bought a separate cogset suitable for a solid axle, then all I would need is the special tool and a chain thingy to complete the task? I'm sure I'm trying to make this more difficult than it really is, sorry :o
