Any idea of the standby current drain on one of these meters? Can't imagine it to be much.

Has anyone connected an auxiliary power source to keep the display alive, when the source power is shut off? Also, does the auxiliary power function allow it to retain it's memory from one day to the next, when the source power is shut off...

On the ebikes.ca simulator, I input the highest percentage hill I would need to climb, and also various other factors. It calculated that the maximum current I would ever need to draw from the battery is just over 40 amps. Obviously, the set-up will require a quality battery to provide this...

So am I correct in saying that you don't need to adjust preload on both sides? Moving on from Cyclamatic forks, I'm a complete noobie when it comes to higher tech components :o

I've just bought a bike which has front suspension with a preload adjuster. On the right side there is an adjuster, which can be turned clockwise and anti-clockwise, to adjust the preload tension of the forks. The left hand side doesn't have the same grip on the top, to be able to adjust it...

I wrote the comment 'tongue in cheek', but regardless of the actual content of the post. Just feared another long winded debate about trade members. Same as the legality of modified bikes, and the rest of the boring debates that can taint this excellent website.

I know that the Slime gunk inside the inner tube, is for want of a better description, like runny snot. This means is can flow into the valve tube, if the wheel is in a certain position. But what is the best position to have the valve, when inflating or checking the pressure? I never had a...

flecc beat me to it :eek: Nice idea in theory, but in reality, dangerous and the potential to create road mayhem. Sometimes you need to exceed the speed limit slightly to make a safe manoeuvre. Joining motorways from slip roads for example, or safely overtaking a large vehicle on a country...

Thanks wurly. What's the build quality of the wheel like? I realise that spokes usually require tweaking as they are machine made, but if I tensioned the wheel perfectly, would the quality be good enough for off road riding? Rough dirt tracks, not extreme mountain biking. I'm guessing...

Who has bought and fitted the rear Bafang BPM 350w or 500w kit from BMSBATTERY, coupled with the controller that they supply with the kit? I know a couple of forum members have got the BPM, but couldn't remember which :o
