FalconEV diamond frame battery bag first impressions

I have done hours of research on frame bags, hoping to find a reputable company from the UK. The only company I could find is: Frame Bags « Wildcat Gear They can customize the bags to your own spec, but expect to pay £100 plus for the privilege  The FalconEV bag is very good...

FalconEV diamond frame battery bag first impressions

Ordered my diamond frame battery bag from FalconEV just under a week ago. Arrived pretty quick considering it came from America, and no import fees either... Bonus Cost $59 delivered, which is around £38. The bag squeezes into my 17" Cyclamatic frame, but is not ideal. It'll eventually...

Could someone with a 19" hardtail frame help me out please :)

Thanks Alan B and Scottyf. Even though the measurements do squeeze into the frame, I've got a feeling that with the frame bag's padded edges, it'll be too tight. Back to the drawing board me thinks  I don't want to get the next frame size up, as the velcro straps holding the bag to the...

Could someone with a 19" hardtail frame help me out please :)

I'm hoping someone who owns a 19" framed hardtail can help me out here. All it requires is some basic Blue Peter skills ;) Could you get an A4 piece of paper and fold the width so that it measures 150mm or 5.9 inches. This should leave you with a shape approx. 300mm x 150mm or 11.8 x...

What is a nominal battery voltage?

For example, looking on Ping's website, he has batteries at 24v, 36v, 48v and 60v. Are these figures classed as the nominal voltage of a pack, even though hot off the charger, the voltage will be higher?

    Bottle battery or Rack battery?

Probably a bottle battery as it locates the battery exactly where it should be, for weight distribution and lower centre of gravity. Unfortunately, a bottle battery limits the capacity one can have. I've just ordered a 'diamond frame battery bag' from FalconEV, with the intention of fitting a...

    BMSBattery Controller Amps

Just out of interest, do the KU series of controllers have connectors that directly match the hub motors, throttles and brake cut-offs that BMSbattery sells?

    Connecting batteries in parallel

After reading more about this on other forums, it appears to be quite a grey area. There seems to be a lot of factors that can affect performance and safety of a set-up like this. Probably not worth taking the risk. Just a shame they don't make the bottle type batteries in larger capacities :(

    Connecting batteries in parallel

So two brand new bottle batteries above should be ok? If they both fit inside the frame, then I reckon this would be a good solution for balancing the bike.

    Connecting batteries in parallel

Are there any dangers/disadvantages in connecting two similar 36v batteries in parallel? I'm assuming they would both share the load and double the capacity and ability to provide amps. Here's the link to the batteries in question: 36V 8.8Ah Bottlle battery pack with charger - BMSBATTERY
