    Solar panel charge ???

Brake regen is probably not worth having either. The reason I gave the illustration of the full re-charge is to put in context the tiny contribution this panel would make. ...and yes, you would need some extra components to make it work. Sorry to be negative.

    Solar panel charge ???

It's a nice idea, but it is 10w really worth having? You would be lucky to be putting 5% back in, and you would be carrying extra weight. This might even negate the benefit. Better idea would be to get a bigger battery, and charge it with a solar cell that you don't have to lug about. Even that...

Anyone used a DC to DC converter to run lights from battery?

For a rear light, get some self adhesive LED strip, in red from eBay. Cut as many lengths as required, and connect up parallel (if 12v) or series (36v).

Anyone used a DC to DC converter to run lights from battery?

You only need a fuse if things go wrong ;-) Believe it or not, I make my own from pipe fittings and domestic LED spotlight bulbs. They are extremely bright. The latest ones are a bit too bright. They can dazzle from 100 yards in daylight. Here's the link...

Anyone used a DC to DC converter to run lights from battery?

Yup, I have three bikes, all running with DC-DC converters. On my main bike, I keep them on all the time, so they have done about 1300 miles. You need to ensure that your converters have 50v input capacitors, or they will blow. Also, I keep the load less than 1a at 12v. The ones I used last...

    Chopper bike to carry passenger?

I looked into this when I constructed my own child carrier for my (then) 3 year old. I wanted him to be between me and the handlebar, so that he could fully participate in the cycling experience. I considered the device I had constructed to be suitably well engineered that if push came to...

Please check my config for a road bike

It's a river in Romania, and probably very difficult to attach to bike :-) I think they mean Sugru, a rubbery kind of moddelling clay sort of thing. It's good stuff. If you want instant sugru, mix silicone sealant with cornfour, similar thing. Google Oogoo for details of the DIY version.

    Chopper bike to carry passenger?

As far as I understand it, that's not the case. In order to carry a passenger legally, the bicycle must be 'Constucted or adapted for the carriage of more than one person'. How far you can push this is a matter for debate, but it's clear that the law allows for modification of a bike to carry...

    battery advice

All the brake levers with switches on I've ever seen have been more dangerous than nothing at all. No reason for them to be like that, they just are always cheap/nasty/plastic. Before I discovered the hidden wire brake sensors, I mostly used none, bit I I've also modded normal levers with...

    Larger Front Sprocket

Thanks for the concern, we're ok at the mo. Where are you? If we have to post them, then MyHermes is probably the cheapest way to go. I will PM you my details.

    Larger Front Sprocket

Sometimes they can be recovered, sometimes not. Depends what's wrong. I would be happy to take a look at them and see if they can be fixed.

350w front hub can i use it with aluminium forks?

Q128 is a hub motor, comparable to your mxus.

350w front hub can i use it with aluminium forks?

I used a Q128, running around 350 watts with those forks (or similar) for about 1000 miles. I'm a big chap, and I often had my 5 y.o. boy on board as well. I did not use a torque arm. Not a sign of trouble. Not recommending it, just saying.

    battery advice

Last time I bought a battery on its own, I think duty/VAT came in at £30-40. Cant remember exactly, so it cant have been too painful. Last time I bought a batch of stuff (£1100) it came to £185 (17%). The duty calculator http://www.dutycalculator.com/ Says £37 based on a bottle battery...

    battery advice

I've never used GBK, but others here have, with success. If you can, I would go for a bottle battery over a frog. Lower centre of gravity, and there have been issues with the brackets in the past. That said, it may be ok if you are only on the road. As far as connectors go, whatever they come...

    BMSBattery - Problems with Kit

Agree with D8veh, dishing is not has hard as it sounds. Perhaps you need to find a better LBS. If they can't adjust a few spokes then they probably can't be trusted with much else.

    NiCd to NiMh problem.

That looks like a thermistor, although I don't know what value you need, depends on the charger.
