Big fella - needs a big bike

that's maximum performance of individual components. The practical maximum performance depends on your weight and the terrain. The Big Bear is restricted to 15mph, you can get to that speed easily, even against headwinds and without pedalling. If you tweak it, woosh say on their web site that...

Big fella - needs a big bike

yes, it's easy to derestrict. 260 RPM means maximum speed on 26inch wheels is about 20mph. Its main strength is its climbing ability. If speed is what you are after, the Krieger is faster.

Big fella - needs a big bike

8-Fun BPM code 13, 260 RPM, maximum torque about 55NM @4mph with the Lishui 947 20A. Battery is 36V 15AH Samsung cells capable of 28A continuous output.

    supercapacitors + battery

you've got your units mixed up. Watt is a unit for power, WH is a unit for energy, a 40W lightbulb consumes 40WH in an hour. 1WH = 3600 Joules. Your idea of using supercapacitor is a non starter. You need 2 Farrads at 1V to store 1 Joule in perfect condition. Let's say you want to give to...

    How are e-bikes shipped

perhaps vendors advertising on this forum should post to this thread how they prepare their bikes for mail order customers and what they do if customers call at their premises to collect their bikes.

    Cyclotricity Revolver review

you would want to know if the vendor check each bike thoroughly themselves before repacking. It's more important that your vendor do this than placing blind faith in a faraway factory, no matter how prestigious their customer list is. Simple fact, it's easier to control quality if you build...

    Quick BMS question

you can't. There is no access to this function from outside.

Bigbear or Sunbear, that is the question.

The Sunbear is the biggest and heaviest bike of the three, its bigger frame and the Nexus-7 hub gear add a bit of weight.

Which kit /hub to fit ?

it's weedy because it comes with a 15A controller - d8veh said it can take 17A, should run better with the 20A Big Bear controller. BTW, that bmsbattery's 09 sinewave is very smooth at low speed, but you'd need to hook iit up with a hall sensored motor.

    Non-welded battery system

they don't seem to make e-bike batteries - their system would help self-builders to create unique e-bikes. I wonder if somebody is going to take on their products here, perhaps somebody like cwah in London as a hobby?

    Non-welded battery system

I've noticed that their cells have the cathode contact area expanded - presumably to improve contact with the container. Using their system of packaging may force you to source the cells from them.

Dahon Mu N360 - can it be converted ?

Dahon 20" bikes have proprietary rigid forks with 76mm dropouts. You can spread them a bit to fit 83mm motor but I wouldn't want to recommend that.

Which kit /hub to fit ?

This is his third bike, he's going to use the 15AH battery on his first bike on this one. Perhaps buy the controller for the 09 battery and a Q128H from bmsbattery.com

Which kit /hub to fit ?

you can use their MXUS XFC09 CST rear motor wheel and save a bit of weight - I reckon with the 20A controller the MXUS XFC09 gives out about 80% of the output of the BPM.

Dahon Mu N360 - can it be converted ?

it looks quite straightforward for BBS01 crank drive kit + rear rack 15AH battery. Total cost about £650 for parts. The kit is plug and play, most bike shops or mobile mechanics can do this. I reckon they'd charge you about £75 labour.

    Non-welded battery system

excellent find! It looks like application of this patent: http://www.faqs.org/patents/app/20150086823 The contact is kept under pressure from a silicon rubber sheet, not metal springs. How reliable will it be?

Which kit /hub to fit ?

One possible option is 26" rear BPM + Lishui 20A controller + King Meter J-LCD from Woosh for £209 including post. http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?hubkits

How to add "pockets" to my battery?

I don't know who sells this bag but you can use a padlock to lock the two sides together, wrapping around the top tube. You may have to add kevlar to strengthen the fabric.

Big fella - needs a big bike

I asked that very question last year, woosh can't fit the Krieger's motor to the Sirocco CDL. The new motor is too big to fit, the chainstays on the CDL need another centimetre.
