    Falco e-motors kickstarter project

you are an engineer by training, you must have spotted the error. http://www.strategictechgroup.com/aboutus.html I would have expected a better explanantion than this. If the slide had shown 15.5 pounds instead of 5.5 pounds, would you just ignore it?

    Massive momentum ;-)

No, they do front BPM only on 26" rim, they have more choices on rear rims, 26", 700C and 650B. Cyclezee do front V2 on 700C.

that's not an excuse for inaccuracies. Where the slide appears, it could mislead potential investors, you see the problem.

Woosh don't sell 250W front hub kit. Cyclotricity do.

that's a good point to remember. Fat hub drives suit fat riders, SWX for small ladies, CD for light cyclists. I wonder where the Falco kit fits in.

    Falco e-motors kickstarter project

very interesting interview. In it, Rakesh seems to oversell his kit a bit. He claimed that his kit can convert any bike, weighs 5.5lbs, max. range 100+ miles. That's just not believable.

    Which 1000w kit?

RichB, if this is your first project, the BBS01 18A 350W or BBS02 500W and 750W kits are well tried and tested recipes with practically guaranteed result.

no. If you convert with a BBS01, the motor replaces your bottom bracket. If you convert using a BPM, you can cut out the centre of the magnet ring and araldite it to the smallest ring. Other solution: stick magnets into the four ring bolts ready made ring:

    Another Sirocco CDL "noise" topic!

just a thought. If you sit on the bike, squeeze the brakes then push on the left crank and hear it creak. Otherwise, the noise could come from elsewhere. Can you try it and let us know?

don't worry too much about the levers. There are plenty of suppliers for brake handles. In case you want to use hydraulic brakes, Woosh can 3D print the fitment to your existing handles and prepare the sensor cables with the microswitch for you. All you need to do is to learn to use the free...

you'll need at least one cable operated brake. V-brakes are OK but I'd suggest you replace the front brakes with hydraulic brakes, V-brakes to the rear.

    Another Sirocco CDL "noise" topic!

it's worth pulling the left crank out and refit.

    Another Sirocco CDL "noise" topic!

there should not be any plastic or grease inside the crank bolt hole. The debris seems to come from the bolt cover but the shape of the debris does not look like from a plastic ring. you should contact Woosh support, asking to borrow a crank puller, a left crank arm and a new crank bolt. If it...

New boy looking to convert so to speak

The motor will cut out less than half a second after you stop pedalling, so as long as you remember to stop pedalling before changing gears then gear changing is as smooth as with normal bikes. That's the only thing to remember. Alternatively, you can blip the brakes and keep pedalling, that...

e bike newbie Cyclamatic or Woosh?

so you are still hung up about that zoom disc brake? I thought you have replaced it with a hydraulic one?

New boy looking to convert so to speak

Feg, you should look at a CD kit. It's good on hills and good on speed, especially the 18A 350W BBS01. It's a tried and tested recipe, reasonably priced and dead easy to fit. http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?cdkit

yes, steel forks are perfect for light weight conversions.

you don't need torque arms if you have steel fork. What fork do you have?

if the connectors are round and with an arrow embossed on each side, you simply pull them apart. To reconnect, line up the arrows and push them back.
