12g spokes tend to break as they aren't very flexible, the 14g sapim strongs are very good and as said they are only 13g at the bend .

    hi newbie

Yes, 8 or 10 magnets will work, one will have to check the the C1 setting value is correct via the lcd display.

    Sad News.

I have to correct myself as the 2D designed bike didn't occur until after Mike left Giant's. I missed out on a pair of near unused Halfways this week gone, but the door is still ajar to rekindle the sale hopefully at a later stage. I have been looking for a few years to acquire a Burrows...

The KT controller will not work with the TS BB or chain ring sensor.

    Help! Front chainring size ?

Argh man, your folding bike is only a chain ring. That is a pue radical design. Yep we really derailed the thread with a total hijacking, a little dissapointed now. To get back on track though, Halfway uses a 48t so hijacking temporarily ended.

    hi newbie

Your TS BB is no use unless opting to use a different TS controller.

    Help! Front chainring size ?

I don't know if Tony '@Woosh had one or not, he was angling towards them but then opted for the 48v Tong.

    Help! Front chainring size ?

For the unique design/look it would be a Halfway or nothing, tbh I have no real use for one but it would be used. Even later in life when a step thru may be needed, having experienced the TSDz I doubt I would bother with another if electrifying. A Gospade although £400 also includes a battery...

    Help! Front chainring size ?

In the end Giants execution of the bike simply didn't live up to the brillance of the designer, though in concept and the finished bike it remains a radical design from those that have come and gone. Even today the design is radical, it still looks like no other folder on the market and that is...

    Help! Front chainring size ?

That's because Giant over engineered Mikes original design and the finished bike they produced wasn't all that he hoped for. Over engineered frame ,crappier rim brakes instead of the hub brakes, awkward wheel axle /hub design instead of QR axled wheels and one expects the list goes on.

    Help! Front chainring size ?

Yes , Mike was bloody minded and once he had an idea he wa slike a terrier. As he once said he isn't the best bike designer but was the only forward thinking one who broke the satid mould of bike design, hence the TCR game changer. Mike wanted lightweight and simplicity and that costs money.

    Help! Front chainring size ?

Regarding the fold, the only likely issue is abuse or lack of maintenance with it. I have seen some developed liitle playin the pin area of the mechanism which could lead to play and stress. The answer I saw should such an issue occur is similar the Suntour parallelagram seatpost, the copper...

    Help! Front chainring size ?

The Halfway has folding pedals as part of the design, an even rarer model is the Halfway with rear suspension. The later incarnations had 7 gears and integrated mudguards bringing them in at approx. 13.2kg.

    Help! Front chainring size ?

Again just one post of an issue not a resounding failure of a bike. One suspects Giant didn't want a folder in the line up but can see that on the back of the success that Mike made for them out of the TCR road bike which revolutionised the bike industry, they likely gave in to him and...
