    Help! What To Do?

I haven't the time now but tommorrow or early next week I will attempt to guide you in to some wire testing to see if one can find the issue, unless of course some other helpful soul steps in mean time.

    Carry Freedom Axle Problem (solved?)

No don't use a pressure washer. Use a thin bottle brush or air rifle bore brush and some liquid grease or penetrating oil to clean the short axle bore. There isn't an inner channel for the balls to release/locate in to, they simply spring out once they pass the end of the axle bore. The...

    Torque washers

One could try a T/A fitted inboard if one can sercue the end to a threaded hole.

    Torque washers

My Bafang G370 is the same one can't fit T/A's and only torque wahers. The G370 one cna only use one washer on the non cable side as the cable entry interferes with the washer fitting, for that reason I have some very nice Surly steel forks. For 250w T/A's can be dispensed with in steel forks.

Heaviest haul with the Homcom trailer so far

If your trailer was fliiped by a car hitting you and you have the footage then it needs reporting, it isn't without due care and attention but dangerous driving and should be punnished. I don't have an issue with traffic towing my trailer, if i judge passing to be debatable I simply command...

New to the world of E-Bikes

Oh my it looks bit sorry, one has to weigh up if it is worth spending too much money on it. Lots of rust and an old steel frame could mean trouble. The bottom bracket axle is a tapered cup and cone model which utilise loose bearings. One would need to measure it correctly to try and find one...

    Battery cuts out

I would charge daily for an 8 mile commute with such a small battery and PAS 5 use on a hill, if it were flat all the way then one would get away with charging every third day using only PAS 1 or 2. The hill will stress's the battery once the voltage drops so it isn't worth riding for two...

    Best 1500w motors?

Go over to ES forum they will tell you what you need, likely a Mac hub or chrystalyte motor and 60v.

    Best 1500w motors?

If the hub is given enough current and a battary that can deliver over and above said current then it will perform admirably, the issue is most don't or aren't willing to lay out good money for a decent battery. Most try to do it on the cheap and fall short on power one is in effect buidling...

    Controller Temperature

I just noted Tony's reply and re- read your post's. It is down to efficency between a 36v wound hub being over volted and a 48v wound hub being run at it's nominal voltage. With the 36v motor it will need internal motor cooling to prevent heat build up. Although one can over volt hubs there is...

    Battery cuts out

Using the graph above if one used max power PAS 5 all the time, the battery would hit lvc at about the half hour mark of use and in Pas 2 one would hit lvc after some 3 hrs. There is nothing wrong with your battery and it is performing as it should, the only down fall is it is only has two...

    Battery cuts out

This gives an idication of the stress /voltage sag applied to a cell at any given current load. From the bottom left the Blue line shows how the voltage sags at a 7a loading the asking current form each cell. Your BMS lvc will be likely around 3.2v or 3.3v. Assist 2 level is 20% current so...

    Battery cuts out

Voltage sag and the fact the battery is only 2 cells in parallel, at 44/46v the battery was pretty much depleted and only at a max charge 30/32 % capacity. The cells would have been stressed at max current demand and the two cells in parallel unable to deliver the current asked. It depends...

Short distance folding ebike to put in the boot of my EV

A lot of non UK made bikes have reversed brake lever function, it isn't anythng to do with being L or R handed. Unless the bike is made for the UK market one will find this to be the case, it is an imorted bike that wasn't originally destined for the UK market.

New to the world of E-Bikes

The crank axle is bottom bracket thta screws in to the shell of the frame. To know exactly what you need indeed pics will be required. One would suspect the batteries are shot if 2007, you would be best replacing them with a lithium ion battery. The rear hub may have a connector along the rear...

    Torque washers

Torque arms are a belt and braces after option but not the answer to torque washers, the torque washers are needed as they act as a spacer and axle locator much like the coloured ones used with nexus/alfine hub gears.

    Should I buy it?

No axe to grind, just find it amusing how so many people compare a bike that produces 500w power or more, then go on to say it rides like a normal push bike. I have hub bikes and a TS mid drive kit bike and tbh there is very little between the feel in how they ride, with hub bikes it is...
