    Pro C Handlebar Adjustment

Thanks Flecc, I thought that may be the case but I didn't want to start applying force until I was sure that I had slackened off the correct bolt. Regards Tom

    Pro C Handlebar Adjustment

I would like to adjust the handlebars on my Pro-C. At present, they are set at their lowest level (0 on the scale) and I feel as though I am reaching a little bit too far forwards. I assume that there is a locking bolt that will allow the handlebars to rotate to a more upright position. I...

Is it me or has the forum gone all funny?

Yes, I saw that all of the posts were from a person called diarrhoea or something or other. I suppose he stopped posting when his mum told him off for staying up late and switched his bedroom light off.

Is it me or has the forum gone all funny?

Just looking at some of the threads (most actually) the last post seems to have been by someone who I thought had been banned, and all of the dates seem quite old. Very strange.

Blown Rear Light on Kalkoff pro Connect AGAIN

I have found these people good for replacement bulbs BULB FINDER FOR BICYCLES AND FLASHLIGHTS The Pro Connect lights are a disapointment and I think the way that the voltage is supplied to them (Pulsed high voltage to give a mean 6v) means that the system doesn't lend itself to a LED...

Disk or V brake, pros and cons.

Sorry to move this thread slightly away from the original topic, but this is brake related. The brake blocks on my Pro Connect are starting to get a bit thin. (V Brakes) Will any blocks suitable for V brakes be OK as replacements? Or do they have to be Shimano? I see there are many...

Blown Rear Light on Kalkoff pro Connect AGAIN

From what i can see stamped on the bulbs 0.6W Rear 2.4W Front = 3W total supplied at 6 volts = 0.5 amps. I would think that this is fairly low compared to the motor.

Blown Rear Light on Kalkoff pro Connect AGAIN

In have been reading this thread smugly thinking to myself, no such problems with my light. However, I have been using the light a bit more frequently for the past few evenings and guess what, the bulb has failed. I the tradition of working on the bike without any manual or instructions, I...

    New Pededlec at 50Cycles?

Intex, there is quite a good specification of the two bikes on the 50 Cycles web site. It gives a comprehensive list of equipment / components fitted to each. This should enable you to see the difference. I suppose the reason to choose one over the other comes down to personal preference...

    Happy Birthday Forum

Yes, thanks to Russ and Flecc for creating this forum. I wouldn't have discovered the huge benefits of electric bikes without it. And all the technical resources available via the search. Brilliant!

    Assault by Taxi

I tend to agree with your thoughts on this. And regardless of the type of weapon used, it seems that in “Violent Britain”, brutal aggression is an acceptable recourse if the person metering it out believes that the victim has in some way shown him disrespect. Add to this the government’s desire...

    DIY Halogen Lights

Thanks for that update, i was wondering how you got on. Sounds like you have made a good purchase there. Did you get stung for any import tax? I have ordered an Airbike Everlight. Supposedly 670 lumens output, but it has cost me £105, 4x as much as you have paid so probably not such ggod value.

    Part replacemant for Pro-Connect ASAP.

I suspected that the seat clamp was rubbish within a couple of hours of taking delivery. There is a torque figure stamped on it. If you try to tighten the bolt to that figure, the thread will strip. I stopped before it did strip, but have been meaning to replace the clamp with something that...
