    A Statement from Bosch

I don't see why you're complaining to the OP though it's like a passenger complaining to a seaman about the sea. He's not making the law. If you want the current limit raised then have your say to the DTI via the link on the other thread. But since they haven't got around to incorporating the...

one e bike not to buy !!!

Sorry you had such a bad experiance Mary. Though you can see why some people wondered. If someone joins a forum just to launch an attack on a company or product it can seem a bit fishy.

    How to avoid Roadrage...

Makes sense to ride defensively, and I drive defensively too. All it really means is expecting the unexpected. If you use the road thinking that all other road users are skilled and aware of other road users, and paying attention at all times, you'll have accidents. On a bike the sort of...

£1595 for 2015 Kalkhoff Pro Connect

Thanks Tim. Matt says the battery will be available for pick up from Bristol next week so I'll have a look at one then and see if I can test ride it.

    Cleats on. MTB

90 rpm or so was always the sort of cadence to aim at long before LA though along with good souplesse. I always used to aim at 90 rpm or more decades ago and try to keep it smooth. Even now as an old fart on an electric bike I try to keep close to it.

justin beba.... or just out of beba?

In some cases the only way to tell if a bike has been modified to go faster and it was damaged and unridable would be to plug in a diagnostic device and interrogate the software. I doubt they could or would do that unless the case was very serious, and suspicion that the bike was doing an...

£1595 for 2015 Kalkhoff Pro Connect

Seems like a keen price. They have been listed at £1795 for a while. I had my eye on one of these to buy in January when the sales may be on and sell my Agattu. I'm still waiting for a replacement battery for it under warranty though so want to get that sorted first ideally. I really like the...

New Member from West Wales, lots of big hills:

Welcome to the forum. I had a Woosh as my first e bike in the spring and it was a good buy for the money. The components were a little low end as you would expect since the electrics probably made up around £500 of the price. I think a little silicone around where the cables go into the...

panasonic pedelec pushing assist power lever

I think I saw a couple of threads on this subject here when I was looking for something else. If you do a search you should turn them up.

    Rear View Mirrors

I have a Mirrycle handlebar end mounted one which I think is pretty good.

The first Kalkhoff Electric Bike under £1000

I don't think that's the full price. It's a clearance offer. The Agattu C11 Alfine ex demo would definitely tempt me if it was in my size. I'd sell mine on when I get the new battery...

    Anyone good with cars?

I think it's yet another bot randomly sampling words. Its link seems to be deactivated though so maybe the site has done something about them.

Are lightweight, short range e-bikes the answer

My bike is around 25 kilos without the stuff I carry around with me like a lock and tools. Something 5 kilos less would be much sportier and nicer to throw around. Above the 20 kilo mark they're getting a bit lardy IMO. It is difficult I know with full road equipment, and front suspension needed...

    Kalkhoff Endeavor problems

They're not always the best at returning calls. If this thread hasn't helped you should keep at them.

    Fully UK road legal ?

That is a big plus of the Kalkhoff Impulse I think. It tapers off and finally cuts out almost unnoticably at a bit over 17 mph. Compared with the Woosh I had before which in standard form felt like it hit a wall at 15.5 mph. Changing that to 30 kph or just over 19 mph made it a lot more...

There really are not that many

I put Continental kevlar belted tyres on my last road bike over a decade ago after a bad run of punctures and never had any after.

    Taichung Bike Week

Why would they object since it's giving the new motor publicity? Technically he may be right but common sense would say otherwise.

If the motor doesn't switch off can't you just put a higher gear on the bike?
