    36v Hailong battery

There are two different types of Hailong battery. Make sure that you get exactly the same type otherwise you won't be able to swap between the receivers, and you'll have to fit a new rivnut and reinstall everything.. Nothing is the same between the two, though they look the same

    Price impact of the "deal"?

To answer the question, one can't avoid politics because that's the basis of the question, otherwise you should have done a poll with yes or no answers. Brexit won't have any affect on the prices unless the politicians have been compromised by China, which some of them probably have been, going...

Help! Swytch Kit - Big Rolling Resistance - Xiongda, AKM hub - checking/help

I've tried just about every type of motor. I can't say that I've noticed that much difference when riding apart from power and noise. In theory, AKM should be the most free-running because the clutch disengages every part of the motor when free-wheeling, though I had a MXUS motor that would...

    Gocycle GS - Lock recommendations

Best solution would be to to switch it off, ride it to the gym, then ride around a bit before riding it home. That'll keep you fit and save your gym noney too. Everything else you do at the gym can be done at home.

    Hub motor power upgrade

It's impossible to recommend anything without knowing how much power you already have. Does your LCD have a setting to display power? If not, you should wire in a wattmeter to show what's happening. To mwasure the maximum power, lidt the wheel off the ground, spin it up with the throttle, then...

    KT-LCD3 Controller Problem

That's what happens when the battery isn't switched on. The leakage through the switch (mosfets in the BMS) puts some charge in the controller's capacitor, which is enough to power the LCD for a very short time. Maybe your battery's switch is back to front, otherwise you should check out your...

What to plug in first when charging the battery

For most Chinese batteries, you should put the charger leads all together, plug in, switch on, then connect to the bike. I would guess that all vikes that use comms in the charger, like Bosch, Suntour, Yamaha, Shimano, Brose etc., you would switch on the charger after connecting to the...

Help! Swytch Kit - Big Rolling Resistance - Xiongda, AKM hub - checking/help

The xiongda has a massive reduction ratio compared with an AKM motor. to achieve that, it has a double (split) axle arrangement. Consequently, there is a more resistance than an AKM motor, but it's not too noticeable when you ride the bike with or without power.

Do I have a programming issue or do I just not like my new bafang motor!!

Save a lot of heartache and frustration by following this guide about selecting the right coms port. https://wiseinnovationtechnologies.com/programming-your-bafang-motor/ If the programming device doesn’t show under "coms ports" in device manager, you need to load a different driver, which you...

    Police Checking in London

Not yet. I've been on this forum 10 years and people are always posting scare stories. None have ever been proved to have any foundation. We even had one guy writing to magazines, etc, trying to stir up interest in clamping down on illegal ebikes. There have been two documented prosecutions. One...

What to plug in first when charging the battery

It depends on which electrical system you have. OP has an Oxydrive kit (Das Kit), which requires the charger to be switched on when connecting. Other systems are different. You have to say what you have before anyone can answer your question.

    Police Checking in London

It's nothing to do with Covid. Instead it's about control and setting precedents for a broarder agenda. You can expect to see a lot more of this sort of thing. These measures have been planned since 2016 - long before they invented Covid-19.

    Freewheel width

Yes, but OP is having a problem with his width, then you show him a 10 speed freewheel on your bike as if he can fit one on his. Supposing OP didn't realise that you had a fatbike, and spent his hard earned money on the same freewheel only to find that it didn't solve his problem.

    Freewheel width

it looks like you have a wide hub and rim, so you can dish it a lot further tha a typical 18mm or 19mm bicycle rim. Is it a fatbike? What's the width between the drop-outs?

    Help Urgently Needed

Too much internet research on sites that just spout rubbish! The pedal sensor gap should be 1mm. Mosfets are typically 3 at 7k and 3 at 14k, though anything from 6k to 25k is possible.

    Police Checking in London

Somebody contacted me from Londo and told me this. He was using a cargo trike in London to do deliveries. He bought it from a reputable company, and it was plated as 250w, running 48v (I think) at 15amps. It had a 6km/hr throttle fitted. Top speed slightly under 15 mph because of the low motor...

Halfords must have thought that you had the torque sensor, like the Crossfire has. Tell us the diameter of your magnet disc and I'll show you where to get one from.
