I wondered as well. More than likely the local availability of the products and the availability of first class local support would have had a lot to do with it. If you then narrow the price band to £1,500 to £2,000 and demand torque control, the choice of bikes decreases quite dramatically...

Does anyone know the position of kits fitted to a bike? Does the bike still need to be certified to EN15194 to be road legal in the UK?

Hi Shemozzle, we have upgraded the power on our 4mph walk assist mode to make hill starts easier on our Wisper SE simple cadence sensor models. I don't think we will have any problems and haven't in tests. I will report back if we do. All the best David

I agree, on most bikes for most people there is no need for a throttle, especially if they have one up to 4mph to help get them moving. We at Wisper, preempted the situation and produced the 905Torque and 705Torque, these bikes have a torque sensor as well as speed and cadence. Our Torque...
