    Battery range

flat roads mean 15mph, with easy pedalling. ebike.ca web site gives a figure of 160W assistance power, that is to say you would use 160WH to travel 15 miles on flat roads. For elevation, you need to check both ways then add the two figures together then multiply by 0.45 to get the consumption in WH.

    Battery range

steep hills consume a lot more battery - but the range of a 48V 10AH is about 30-35 miles on flat roads. Every 100m elevation will use about 40WH-45WH, so if you ride 7 miles and climbs 100 m on the way out then same on the way back, that works out about 140WH for flat roads on account of you...

    The lost Malaysian airplane

it's not proven that the plane has crashed. I very much hoped that the plane is stolen and the passengers are held as hostages.

I've been stopped by the police today :(

maximum speed 34kmph (21.2mph), wind resistance will be between 380W (ebike.ca simulator) 460W (my simulator), torque 17.1NM. Can the keyde motor gives 17NM at maximum speed? if not, then your maximum speed will be lower, less stress on the motor. If its sweet zone is around 260 * 0.85 = 221...

there should be a dislike option for posts like the one above.

Has anybody tried the S06P integrated controller?

base to silver section: 3 x M3 bolts, domed top to silver sections: 3 x M3 bolts. The black base and black top are easy to scavenge and re-use, in fact, shanshan sell the empty casings to the trade, if you can buy one (trade price in China with fittings around $20), you only have to throw away...

Has anybody tried the S06P integrated controller?

The flat, round base contains the charging port, the output port, switch and fuse. If you order with controller, the base is swapped for one with integrated controller. The middle silver section contains the cells. The black domed top contains the BMS and capacity indicator. Everthing inside is...

    Beat Bikes Where Are You?

Dean, welcome to this forum. We all buy online and I always recommend members to use sources like http://companycheck.co.uk to check the background of suppliers and their directors. My comment is not meant to cast doubt on beatbikes. This thread made me think that we should also call the company...

I am a little like you on that respect. Have used my tension meter 2 minutes so far.

    Bafang spokes breaking

there is no alternative to Park Tool spoke tensiometer. Once the problem has gone, you can always put the spoke meter on ebay.

    Powabyke intermittent fault

I would disconnect the brake sensors first. If the problem does not go away, I would suspect the controller.

    Another mid motor announced

40NM direct drive unit is not enough to compete even against Chinese crank drives, they manage 60NM plus. Regen is a hassle and also, your reported 33% increase in range is too optimistic.

Legality of having a switch to meet 250w regulations

I take it that we are talking about maximum achievable speed with a motor on a particular gradient? I find that the easiest way to figure out how your projected motor is going to perform is using the ebike simulator here: http://www.ebikes.ca/tools/simulator.html I am making a simpler excel...

Legality of having a switch to meet 250w regulations

I'd like to add that although one can guess that running at 48V instead of 36V is going to deliver more Watts, the RPM at the sweet zone of the motor moves up with the voltage. Outside the sweet zone, the (maximum) power output depends so much on the motor efficiency at the RPM you are...

Legality of having a switch to meet 250w regulations

geebee talked about e-bikes (EAPC), arbol talked about 1kw e-bike, which (although speed restricted) can be registered as e-moped (SEL) in Spain. It depends on the gradient. If you give me the gradient, I'll try to calculate the climbing speed for each motor. Hang on, does any one have a...

Legality of having a switch to meet 250w regulations

you can't change the LCD setting while riding. You have to stop, go to setting menu, scroll to speed setting, press +/- to change then save and restart the LCD. It would take a minimum 45 seconds to do this. The badass dongle is the nearest to a switch but you still need to stop.

let see who is going to benefit from the incident: 10 different nationalities among the victims and how many potential suspects? I'd say attention on Ukraine has been reduced.
