Pedelecs - Read Terms and Conditions of Warranty

In law, suppliers do not have to give you a 12-month warranty at all. Warranties are insurance policies against failures, where the 'fit for purpose' criterion cannot be used against the supplier (eg stem cap bronzes in the sun). As such, warranties are limited to specific clauses that the...

    Bfang 500w marked as 250w

hi 1boris, most Chinese suppliers are easy going - if you want an extra label, they'll print it and only charge you for the label, not what's on it. After all, that is your responsibility, it does not have their name on it. Regarding the word 'nominal' - most Chinese people you talk to at...

    Kn@ckered controller

The resistor that burnt: I think it's a 150 Ohm 2W resistor that feeds the 14V regulator from 36V rail. The 14V output feeds the 5V regulator, which is shorted by the throttle - reverse polarity. With a little bit of luck, replacing the resistor is enough to get the controller going, the...

    Hi guys

Two solutions: 8-Fun BBS01 (discussed to death on this forum) and the XOFO with built-in torque sensor like on the Woosh TS. Both are neat - only the LCD to be added to the handlebar. The XOFO has a slight edge, the XFLK motor contains both speed (replacing magnet and sensor wire) and torque...

Pedelecs - Read Terms and Conditions of Warranty

It's not a question of fitness. In another thread, the OP reported one incident of overheating: 10 miles out in the 16th outing, 4 months after purchase last December. I assume that the bike is still working.

Pedelecs - Read Terms and Conditions of Warranty

geejay, We are not talking about a Bosch crank drive here. The design of BrianC's bike isn't foolproof, the supplier has rightly stated the limitations of the product. I don't think that the limited warranty clause denies the customer's statutory rights.

    Specialized/Wisper Daahub On Ebay

totally unrealistic. Ray74 has shown clearly what you can get for £650. If I had £1300, I wouldn't want a second hand bike with an obsolete motor.

I think it's easier to use the King Meter odometer - reset the odometer after charging then assume you have 40 miles to empty.

    Bosch Dongle for 20 Pence

If you move the magnet to the other side of the wheel, the sensor reducer can then be put there. A wireloop would feed the normal sensor with false information. The reducer can be powered by a coin battery. It should work with any bike and there would be no need to mess with the existing wiring.

    Bike sales exceed car sales.

the number of vehicles you see is proportional to the number of travelled miles - that explains why you see so much fewer bikes.

denwyn, there is a slider lock at the top of the quill stem, slide it towards you then lift up the lever. You can then rotate the stem arm upward and also rotate the handlebars to suit. Push the lever down to lock the handlebars. rustic: unless I am mistaken, the warranty from kudos may not be...

you do the right thing, it's a very good bike. By the way, I noticed on the picture you set the handlebars quite low, have you tried to set the handlebars higher up? it may help reducing the arm reach, more of a comfortable sit up position.

Beautifully made video and for a moment, I was seduced by a quite convincing argument for the idea of 'less is more' - now hands up who would a buy an electric two speed bike without suspension?
