    Cycling UK ebike summaries

Our site here is tame, if one does want real techy/ nerdy stuff then ES or pedelec forum.de. The guys there do all the OSF stuff (firmware /programming of controllers and displays) and as a community it then gets uploaded for free to GitHub to download. KT & Lishui controllers re programmed to...

    LSW1466 Controller

If one has no voltage reading then it is best to buy a cheap dc volt meter up to 100v dc and wire it direct to the controller power wires and place the small display where it can be seen.

    Unavoidable Bicycle Badger Collision

Hot wax treatment was NHS in the Hosp, a vat of beeswax and the whole lower arm (elbow to finger tips) placed in said vat. I did have another bit of damage I forgot about, the xray showed up a shard of bone was also chipped off the elbow at the time. Nothing was done so somewhere it is still...

Tsdz2 brass gear change (weird high pitched hum)

At the least being that there are known issues with build quality and heat issues a heat sensor is the minimum to fit. One doesn't have to use the OSF stuff to accomplish this, but can easily add a battery operated temp sensor with a small display or opt for the one that require 5v power...

    Unavoidable Bicycle Badger Collision

My wrist has the same degree of movement as my good one, the only noticeable difference to feel it the lump where the offset bone break has fused/repaired. After the cast came off (10 weeks) I had some hospital physio which was some hand and wrist manipulations and a once weekly soak in a hot...

ES threads, some of the info is also crossed over from the German forum. (6) Hardware temperature control tsdz2 - Endless Sphere (endless-sphere.com) The mother of all tsdz threads. (6) New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor" - Endless Sphere (endless-sphere.com)

Tsdz2 brass gear change (weird high pitched hum)

Quite easily reading the threads, all depends on current used/power and terrain amongst a few of the variables.

Tsdz2 brass gear change (weird high pitched hum)

That what you are feeling is the outside shell temp, the inside core temp will be much higher and a real hot potato to handle as the conductivity flow is low. Air conductivity is poor and approx 0.24 w/mk, the heat mods use thermal conductive pliable pads that vary from 4w/mk up to 16 w/mk to...

Tsdz2 brass gear change (weird high pitched hum)

At a third or quarter or so of the price of a bosh, one can't compare the tsdz2. There is no comparison as build quality is chalk and cheese, the endearing features of the tsdz is it is relatively cheap to buy and easy to repair with OSF to adjust core parameters to better suit ones riding...

Tsdz2 brass gear change (weird high pitched hum)

Because of the poor temperature conductivity inside motor (too many air voids), if one is feeling a warm motor externally then the internal winding temp is going to be high. Don't forget the motor has firmware settings that will automatically reduce power and finally shut down power when it...

    Does wheel size matter

What motor ? If an impulse drive, give the bike a wide birth. The impulse is plagued with errors/failures.

Tsdz2 brass gear change (weird high pitched hum)

What is your perceived cadence ? To high cadence can lead to lack of power under stock settings, 60rpm - 90rpm is it's approx. cadence. Once one gets near to the top end then the overall motor rpm of 4000 is reached and then power will back off.

    Does wheel size matter

25" isn't a standard wheel size are you sure ?

Tsdz2 brass gear change (weird high pitched hum)

Changing to the brass gear is a known issue and yes the motor is noticeably louder in use. Over on Endless sphere they will likely have an answer for you. As aside it is known that heat/over heating can have an effect on power. It is advised to fit a heat temp sensor and to carry out the heat...

The ELife is an ideal world tv bike which they often sell, It is likely an ex demo bike. They are cheap and cheerful so don't expect to much on any steep inclines. Mechanically and electrically they will be easy to fix/repair in the future. Battery may get you 25 -30 miles in low speed mode...

Carrera Vengeance ebike battery charger clicking

I don't know if your battery can handle 25a current continuous so you will need to check, if not then one will have to be disciplined and reduce the controller current via the display settings.
