    Step through/low step bike £1500

Kudo safari is dated but still cheap and comes fully equipped and has nexus hub gears.

The Blue gear from what I read is not worth changing as it may act as the fail safe on this motor from other untold damage should a fail occur. Not only does high torque from standing start cause the gear damage but possibly excess heat to the worm drive gear shaft may permeate to the gear as...

    Woosh King Meter playing up?

Check the speed sensor Hall with a meter, power the bike up and find the speed sensor connector at the controller. Probe the back of the connector Gnd/Black and 5v/Red to confirm 5v is present, if not Hall is defective and speed sensor needs replacing. If 5v is present probe the Gnd/Black and...

The thing is will this motor ever work again ? The odd wires pointed out I would remove they shouldn't be there. Whilst at this stage check out the halls again, if need be change them as they are only a £1 each. If you don't see 5v on change them, put a 5v phone charger on the thin Red and...

Like the grin video, clip some of the inner wires short leaving the outer sheath a little long and cut like he has done to wrap it in on it self so the end is to more of a conical point. Tape as he has done so and pull thru with a bit of lubrication. The way he has done is so as not to be...

One then is only guessing/surmising it is running cooler then, for about a fiver one can be sure instead of guessing.

With you hub the cable end exit in the hub can't be seen and so far the hall sensor's aren't visible.

I'm not sure you can pull that off any more ? Otherwise the bloke at GRIN would have done so to make the job easier.

Definitely non ebike related, but he is rather cute.

New edition the household called Tigger, been here 11 days and is well an truly made himself at home. To those who know about cats he is a rarity and genetic freak of nature. Though he is just a short haired moggy, the White on him gives him away as not just a Tortoiseshell but one with a big...

    Best security locks?

Anything less then 15mm is easiest to grind thru or crop thru, one has to think of the most portable easiest tool that might be used like a 100mm cordless grinder.

    Best security locks?

Any lock with a cable is going to be pants when it comes to cutting off, typically less then 10 secs. A decent D lock is the only thing to use but decent means heavy 1.5 - 2kg and one that can resist for a minute or two of a grinding to stand any chance. Each wheel needs securing. For effect...

The only thing I find strange is in other threads you say it was 39km/h capable but e -rider only ever claimed it was 25km/h capable for the 15 model so that it complied with pedelec law.

Motor cable replacement is never easy. In the video he may have made the pulling through tougher by not lubing the cable or the hollow axle, grease is not good and needs something super slippy. For this I would use an everyday item found in the fridge, spread used on bread. How to replace a...

Tsdz2 brass gear change (weird high pitched hum)

They are chalk and cheese so one can't simply compare one to the other. Bosh is ok if you want a bike you can't repair or be able to work on at all and can afford to keep paying money out on if it goes wrong after the warranty. The tsdz2 if for those who can or want to diy a cheap motor with...

Help! Windsor Powacycle - no power to motor

Despite the age and assuming the battery delivers power. Whilst fault finding disconnect the brake sensors so there is no chance of conflict. First check the pedal sensor arrangement attached to the BB. It is usually a two piece item consisting of a magnet disc and a sensor, check the gap...

    TSDZ2 blue gear spares

It is an upgrade replacement for the Blue one, but once fitted the motor is louder and it means any future poss damage is transferred elsewhere. There is a feeling that it is better to have the Blue gear fitted as a fail safe as it is easy to replace should it fail.
