    Mystery power cuts

The spark was a wire shorting between + & -, I doubt any damage has occurred but it is worth carefully checking to why it occurred. For checking the 10 cell groups one has to separate/pull out that White JST connector with one Black & 10 or so small White wires, It will e a tight fit but will...

    Raleigh Motus Bar ends?

Get the saddle height right first then go from there, the ball of the foot should comfortably touch the ground. The bottom stroke of the crank should see the leg slightly bent with the foot flat on the pedal. From there then one can look at the reach, swept bars give a comfy arm/wrist angle...

One shouldn't cross the polarity, that is when the magic smoke appears or something blows or goes bang. Voltage always to voltage, Gnd to Gnd & Signal to Signal. With a battery one never joins it self to it self as it goes bang.

So this wires to this and this then goes where ? Red/L with white sheath should wire to Red on Yellow block. Green/Yellow Gnd/neutral should wire to Black on Yellow block, so why are they reversed Green to Red and L/white sheath to Black Gnd. All I'm seeing is a snap shot of...

Help! TSDZ2 - Power cuts out after 60 seconds, no LCD, no torque

I haven't download the Java OSF so have only seen posted screen shots of older OSF which don't show the little drop down box with 14s. Good news then that one can configure 14 cells. BC will have to venture in to the OSF world to configure his set up to work correctly. I have a 12s bottle...

    Highway code changes

A good question but generally one would say no if the lights are green but if a ped is already transiting such a said junction then yes. Green is only an indication to go if safe to do so and the way is clear, most think it is an absolute right to keep going. A couple of hundred yards from my...

I was more thinking both in the same pic at a slight angle to gauge the drop out depth, I doubt that one is any different for the other.

For sure the lion 48v will have far more pep then the old sla's. Keep us posted with the test rides, I think 32km/h loaded will be not far off. One never gets the no load speed on the road .

    Mystery power cuts

To explain more, once the battery hits lvc or one cell group hits lvc the bms will cut power. At 40.6v it likely means one or two cells groups are out of balance so one/they are likely only charging to 3.5 or 3.6v each whilst the others are reaching 4.2v, the bms only balance voltages that are...

    Mystery power cuts

No, 1v won't balance out. What is likely is one cell group is well out whack /balance whether this is anything to do with the off, one doesn't know. The battery will have to be opened and inspected tested. One of a few issues has occurred. 1. A cell group is simply out of balance and just a...
