Help! Windsor Powacycle - no power to motor

If the motor is quiet with no power then it is fine, with power the noise is likely electrical phase out of sync or poor phase contact. It very hard to give advise just by an explanation, a small film of the noise/motor working is best. Check that any motor wire connection is making good...

    Battery for up to 1500w

Even the MJ1 battery should ideally be kept to 35a or less if maxed out continuously. As pete has said one has to pick the cell for the purpose ideally for only a 5,6 or 7p battery look for one with higher current 20a cells.

    Bafang/Bosch PAS

You have though no real high torque levels set, all are set for max 100% speed in the basic tab. If one sets the higher current limits to a lower speed level like 60% or so one should theoretically gain more torque, one can't really have max speed and current. Much like a battery one can have a...

Can you confirm the voltage reading of the battery fully charged ?

    Mystery power cuts

The controller is 15a max draw in PAS 5 so PAS4 is 50%/7.5a and 3/33%4.95a and 2/20%/3a. It is possible that the off if a hard off may have caused battery damage, one can only know by having the internal pack looked at. If a interconnector weld is sub standard then a shock could cause the weld...

    Charger

The display can be omitted in most cases but you will only get one power level, likely low power. Check that the blue has voltage when tested against the GND wire, once confirmed one can short Blue to Red and the motor should operate. If not then also try shorting Black to Yellow leaving the...

    Bafang/Bosch PAS

Bosh has power levels used in a not so dissimilar way that current control is used on cadence PAS systems, the bosh eco level is a different power mode then the turbo or emtb mode. If the modes didn't offer varying power/ effort in each level then it would be pointless having them.

    Highway code changes

There has been no forward planning and publicity on the changes and flecc is correct the new rules apply from the 29th and not today. One of the motoring groups questioned motorists back before xmas regarding the changes and some 70% had no idea what so ever. The public at large will be...

    A.V.E. 'TOUR'. Faulty PAS sensor?

Looks like the Hall sensor may be faulty usually one sees a lower value when the magnets pass the sensor and the value difference between Gnd & Signal doesn't differ by much at all.

The only thing to watch out for with sweeps is that there is enough brake and gear cable length as this can shorten then slightly. If thinking of swapping out measure your bar set up and that all fixtures will slide on the 205mm bar end space.

The On-ones have the same 31.8mm central dia and 22.2mm min bar dia. I find the 40 deg sweep so comfy, one can get an idea of the ideal wrist angle by just looking at them when sitting down and resting. They tend to splay out at an angle, it isn't natural for them to be parallel with the arm...

    e bike fires

Problem with scooters is the abuse they take and the fact the battery is low to the ground where it takes all the punishment. Also the charging, how many are plugged in and left connected after charging and forgotten about.

    Add more power

Kapton one can use what ever width one wants to, I tend to use 20mm for most of my builds. The laying of the sense wire across is a bit crap, but I suspect the interconnector material may be a bit below par and is getting quite warm with higher current.

    Add more power

For my batteries I use a 0.4mm fibreglass sheet top and bottom as an insulator.

    Add more power

I don't lay wires across interconnectors, I either lay them between or through the cell/gaps where I use spacers. Kapton tape to insulate against heat transfer. The interconnector material may be heating up as it may not be capable as a very good conductor thus heat is then conducting through...

Looking at your bike stem, it looks like there is a spacer above the handle bar stem. One should be able to raise the bars another 15mm - 20mm.

Straight bars are awful and give no shock or comfort form solid forks. Think about some swept back bars as they will reduce the leaning forward, the 40 odd degree sweep takes the vibes out from solid forks with decent grips. In a resting position 40 degrees is a good wrist angle so is a more...

    A.V.E. 'TOUR'. Faulty PAS sensor?

The PAS is cadence sensor it can't have a torque sensor as well. With the PAS, check that you get 5v between Red and Black using the 20v scale, then Green to Black one should see up to 1v as a magnet is passed by the sensor.
