    Throttle & Angina

One can try pumping the lever many times or tie the lever so that it is pulled on, then possibly any air in the system may travel back up over night. An elastic band or a bit of string will do. If no luck it will need bleeding. If you have ever bled car brakes a bike is no different.

Help! Back wheel will not work by pedaling

Any the wiser with this reply WP ? To me it say's ' the motor does not electrically assist using the PAS system when the pedals/cranks are rotated'. Trying to put someone else's utterings in to some sense can be confusing. A short film clip to upload would be best so as to see the issue at hand.

That figure is distorted as the bosh one is the company as a whole their home appliance, power tools and automotive revenue will be the major part of the sales and the bike division will be very tiny.

    New Controller

Your new controller will need a compatible display, they should be purchased as a matching pair. One can't simply mix and match controller brands and display brands as they have differing programming and comm's protocols, it's like trying to get a Yamaha display to play ball with a bosh...

Bafang are bigger then bosh and will have out sold them ten fold. The guys who have issues with hubs are because ; 1. they use the cheap DD drive motors with cheap £30 china controllers & 2. they don't know really what they are doing. I have always used very good decent geared hubs Bafang, Mxus...

Anything with CANbus I would give a wide birth and bosh = CANbus. But that aside for leisure riding a hub is more relaxing then the huff and puff of amid drive. Mid drive for sport riding, hub for leisure and commuting.

    New Controller

Yes the controller may not work very well sensor less. Hub phase and sensor wires should remain connected no need to disconnect unless replacing controller.

Lubrication/preventative maintenance for NCM Das-kit rear hub motor

At 13k it is worth while giving it a service. To service it remove the wheel from the bike and remove any lock nut from the axle on the brake side, on the drive side remove the gear cluster & undo the the six X- head machine screws. The cover should pry off or lift off and then the motor...

    Rambletta or Raleigh Motus

Oh and my personnel view, if you are after a folding bike and a step thru then the rambletta is pretty much a no brainer for around the 1k mark. Woosh have good pedigree as a UK independent bike brand.

The bosh is expensive to repair once the 2 year warranty expires, if you can afford to throw it away ( in the likelihood of failure) then yes it will be fine. It is basically a made in china bike with german knowhow. The Rambletta uses pretty much generic china electronics so is easiest to...

    Shaved Dropouts Too Much

I only ever fit (firstly make them) one piece TA's, as far as I'm concerned a two piece has one link too many and can fail.

    Shaved Dropouts Too Much

Forks are relatively cheap replace them or one can make up a one piece torque arm for each side if there is room to secure it directly. A pic of the forks ?

Noob - any flaws to my plan please?

AKM128 width is for 135mm d/o's and is why he has a problem fitting it. Diameter is 128mm for the spoke holes.

    New Controller

The process is to connect the phase colour to colour and join the learn wires (white ones), apply power to the motor and once it is working correctly switch the bike off and disconnect the learn wires. Sometimes it may take a few attempts for the learning process to work so each time if it...

A small film of the wheel might help better in defining what is actually occurring.

Help! Back wheel will not work by pedaling

I'm still trying to make sense of this as there are two opinions occurring on this one, my thoughts are that it is an e - assist issue with the PAS not driving the hub as the throttle does work and others think it is mechanical and gear sprockets are stuck so not freewheeling. If the latter...
