I use 36v & 48v separately out on rides and change no settings, the lcd3 gives me accurate voltage readout when I swap battery connections.

Did you do an ohms test on the mosfets to see if one or more was the issue ? Has it played up before or cut out ?

1. A battery capable of well in excess of 150a will be required. 2. Tbh you need to ask the guys on Endless Sphere about the motors capabilities, on ES they are really the ones to speak to about these high current rates.

The road links extend the mech length which in turn allows a longer chain so the mech isn't working at the max stretch & stress.

When you reach the limit of the mech by using larger gears a road link/mech extender works very well at a few pounds cost and possibly a new longer B screw. My Pinnacle Arkose came as 2 x10 with 34t, I upgraded to a Sunrace 40t and used a road link copy. No adjustment needed and the upgrade...

End of the day it depends on the balance spec of the BMS, I have one albeit made by LG with is set for 4.15v per cell group. Others I have are generic China ones, some at 4.2v and a couple that are set for 4.18v. 54v is tad over 4.15v so is about the bare minimum one should expect to see.

Not a short cage for sure, is either med or long. Short cage is about 60mm centre of jockey wheels, med is about 85mm and long 100odd mm. The cage size will be down to your gearing so large front and large rear size, once you know that look up the mech specs which will tell you the the max...

I guess you can try charging with the key in the 'ON' position, some of my batteries have a switch and when charging I always have the switch on. The on switch with mine is/are hard wired to the BMS, whether the key 'ON' is the same I don't know, though possibly sounds like it.

Tannus make them but they are hard, others use Marathon tyres.

As Ford has said, a slight bit of friction and the cranks will turn, if not wanting to bash ankles in walk mode always carry a brick and string to weight one of the pedals to prevent this :rolleyes:.

C12 allows about 41.5v max voltage cut out, this is low for 14s at 2.96v per cell group. The battery BMS will likely cut out sooner use the lcd voltage readout and try to stay above 44.8v lvc.

It does but it needs a speed sensor to pick up the signal from to get the rpm/cadence, the setting can't predict speed from thin air alone.

Do you have PAS fitted and does it work ?

The 53.6v = a tad over 4.12v per cell group average which is low for balance to occur, it might be that one or two cell groups are hitting 4.2v before the others and then shutting off balance charging. It is likely then that some groups are out of balance, try using it and several normal full...

Chris will likely be ok with hills with that kit as he has opted for high current (looks like he has done his homework), which those kits really need to be useful. As long as the battery is capable of 40a continuous or more it should deliver the power but as mentioned range won't be mega...

The motor has a clutch for freewheeling like all mid drives otherwise they would just be dangerous.
