    KT-LED880 low-voltage cut-out

4 led's will only light up once battery is greater then 80% . At 39.9v the 880 probably is confused and doesn't know if it is reading a low 48v battery or a higher voltage 36v battery, my guess is the former due to it's differing chemistry. However the displays can't differentiate the...

Batribike Breeze - cuts out after a few minutes

It is simpler to try and manually charge the one low cell up to or near the level of the others then to discharge multiple cells singularly. Manually charge the single cell and then watch to see what happens to it once left to rest for 24/48hrs, once charged leave it somewhere where it can't...

Batribike Breeze - cuts out after a few minutes

0.6v is a large difference voltage wise, either the BMS balance looking after it is faulty or the cell is faulty. Its not really viable to buy just one lipo cell if you can find one of similar capacity or size, AliExpress is usually the place to buy from.

Batribike Breeze - cuts out after a few minutes

Lipo cells are last years lithium for ebikes and in recent years decent safer cylindrical cells are the best option.

    Is my TSDZ2 engine dead?

41 .5v is a normal voltage for a 36v battery when fully charged, any where from 41.5 - 42v is good. the usable voltage range is 32v - 42v, 36v is the nominal battery rating at about 50%.

Frog battery has blown cant get it back in the case

The pouch cells are lipo and are fit for recycling now, once they puff up they are a liability so don't try charging them. Best place is to bung them outside in a bucket of water and let them self discharge ready for recycling.

    Help! E bike key replacement?

The lock can be replaced by a locksmith or drilled out, jiggler keys should get it open. Charging wise show a pic of the battery charge point and then one should be able to get a generic £10 - £15 charger to use form ebay with the correct connector.

Batribike Breeze - cuts out after a few minutes

Test the battery statically on the bike, temporary rig up a volt meter you can see and lift the drive wheel off the ground. Whack it on a decent power level and apply the brake so the wheel doesn't quite stop, this will act as current loading and see what happens with the voltage. If it...

Both have a good presence from time to time on here and both are reputable UK branded bikes. Which ever you buy CS is very good. Stocking levels may be the issue.

    Budget controller /display kit

Some displays have a setting where you can make changes so that speed registers always even when freewheeling, my KT's have this option. I don't know the settings for the Brainwave so can't comment on if it has one.

Replacing a battery with integrated controller

He doesn't want a re build/re cell but another one to extend range. Oxydrive UK used to sell the same kits but was few years ago since they stopped selling them. One could try emailing/phoning the Boss Andrew to see if any old unsold stock remains at H7 Engineering who were the parent company...

    Woosh Big bear, high mileage?

5K is about nicely run in, the important thing to check is the cable entry in to the hub axle is not damaged. I have a Bafang CST hub it is well past 8.5k, the only real issue with them is bearing noise or rumble. Maintenance wise they are easy to repair and look after.
