Help! Advice on choosing rear hub motor/kit

350W means nothing, the important number/s is the current rating of the controller. 12a a bit weedy, 15a fairly average and then for better power 17 or 20a are now being seen a lot more. Optionally some of us opt for a bit more power and use 22 or 25a controllers. 250/350w are identical the...

    Throttle cable fries

23a at 48v means the controller is out putting 1100w from the controller, one suspects it got very hot and damage has occurred inside aka fried controller.

    Throttle cable fries

Phase wires have shorted out or mosfets have failed by the sounds of it. A rudimentary test is to disconnect the hub, if the wheel free's up with little or no forward resistance then the controller phase wires or fets have shorted . If the hub doesn't free up then the motor cable has shorted...

    Chainset folding Seago CityLite pro

Here are the some common interface BB types used if one matches what you have (it should do) then a replacement crank/chainwheel set is easy peasy. https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=bottom+bracket+types&qpvt=bottom+bracket++types&FORM=IGRE

    Chainset folding Seago CityLite pro

Remove the chain wheel and or just lhs side crank and take a pic for us, one would suspect the BB is a standard english fine thread used commonly on many bikes. All one has to do is find out if it is square taper most likely or even octalink. One could even choose the option of replacing the BB...

Help! Advice on choosing rear hub motor/kit

That's still 576wh of battery use, comparable to 16ah at 36v. If you are after battery capacity then the 1000w motors aren't the option.

Batribike Breeze - cuts out after a few minutes

Even though the battery is balanced it does now indicate that the pouch cells are knackered and likely have high internal resistance, time to replace the battery with one that has li-on cells. Again if you can rig up a the volt meter to read whilst riding you will see the voltage collapse, most...

    Eskute voyager

The Wayfarer doesn't use 36v but is a 40v/11s or 44 v/12s system so has a bit more pep then 36v.

Batribike Breeze - cuts out after a few minutes

Often when this scenario crops up the indications are the battery may be past it's best and for most the opening and testing of a battery appears daunting, in fact with common sense and able to follow good advice anyone can undertake simple cell testing to see where the issue may lie.

Batribike Breeze - cuts out after a few minutes

Pleased you have got a good result so far, out of balance cells is something a lot of people don't understand. All they look at is the end voltage and led indicators, they simply don't replace good old proper digital voltage readings to see where the issue may lie. It is why on another note...

New Battery died after only 30 miles?

Seller doesn't know what he is selling or understanding the ratings. The controller is 30a rated current, this will be the defacto current if throttle or PAS 5 is used, yes the current can be dialled back but so will the bike performance esp climbing. The 15a rated current is only if you want a...

    Help! E bike key replacement?

36v is the nominal rating approx. 50%, 42v is the full charge voltage 100%. Your new charger is the correct one.

New Battery died after only 30 miles?

Battery rating isn't just a tad tight, it is continuous rating is 30% less then the max controller rating. I would say that the battery rating is being misused and stressing the cells unnecessary if used for long periods at high current.

Frog battery has blown cant get it back in the case

Pouch cells are pouch cells they all in one way or another use a polymer inside as this is why they bulge, once bulged they are only fit for recycling. They also come under the name of prismatic or lifepo4 (older chemistry) or li-po. The lifepo4 is one of the safest chems for batteries though...

New Battery died after only 30 miles?

The peak discharge rating is only a temporary one for a few seconds use of 5 -10 secs. If you are using a throttle or PAS 5 then the battery with a 20a continuous rating will be under stress. If the KTLCD3 doesn't turn on then you have to look at an issue with the battery connection, as vfr has...

Batribike Breeze - cuts out after a few minutes

The balance feature is top end balance depending on the BMS specs it can be anywhere between 4.15 - 4.2v per cell, also the cells have to be very close voltage wise for the balance to occur.

Frog battery has blown cant get it back in the case

The pouch cells will be lithium polymer , li-po is a shortened name for them. They come in various sizes and capacity.
