    Help! Replacement electronic controller required

From the hub follow the motor cable, it should lead to a connector pull it apart to see how many pins it has. From the controller pic it looked to me that it might be unsensored but the motor cable check is a sure thing. If planning on using a throttle then one brake cut out is best in case of...

    Upgrade controller

9 pin Mars, you have a sensored hub so a sinewave controller will be quietest for the hub. Your current set up is block connectors if you want moulded Julet type then you will need to buy everything inc Pas, throttle and brake sensors. Hub will have internal speed sensing. Show us links of what...

Yes 252wh battery approx 25 miles in low assist, still nothing wrong with it for a local town/erand bike or short 20 miles rides. Horses for courses depends on the actual intended use so no use poo-pooing a 7ah battery just for the sake of it. On my current town/commute bike the 36v 14.5ah 6.5...

    Broken phase wires

As long as the inner wire sheath is not exposing the inner copper cores you should be fine if poss bind the outer wire with tape to stop moisture. Rewiring is possible but not a 5 minute job, use the 1kw hub as practice to see what is involved.

    Help! Replacement electronic controller required

Yes anything is poss if you can solder before doing anything identify and label what the wires are for. Brakes, pas, throttle, speed sensor. Battery & motor bullet wires are self explanatory. Controller from what I see is square wave unsensored. No current rating so assume it is 15a. Most...

    Cyclematic powerplus

P1 start with 84 set the speed in the previous menu to 25km/h and go for a ride with a GPS readout to see how far out the lcd reading is compared to GPS. If LCD reading is lower then set P1 one digit higher and test again, repeat until they are very close. If the opposite and lcd reads high then...

No reason why a generic battery won't work no CANbus or sophisticated handshaking used. One of there popular bikes sold is the small folding shopper style bike.

They are a cheapish budget bike using generic China stuff, though a made in India bike, typically the brand Elife bike is Ideal World tv stuff so might be the same brand may not be. Easy to mend if it goes wrong battery capacity probably not to much but should be good for 30 miles. Not to bad...

    Upgrade controller

KT lcd and lcd3 are the highly recommended pairing or if you want cheaper, one can opt for the £30 or so Brainpower option. With KT you will need the 36v/15a one.

    Upgrade controller

Some KT's have it if they use the Julet cable connection other wise they utilise the the other style of three thick phase wires with bullets (Blue ,Green & Yellow) & six thin sense wires (White square dj7061 connector block), the latter then connects to a thick Black cable as in your pic to...

    Switching KT Sine Wave Controller

That's a bummer if so and believable since they have also changed the sense wire connectors. If buying new conrtoller /lcd buy as a pair from the same vendor. Some also change the male/females connectors so you are forced to buy from them at inflated prices, I always buy the generic type that...

    Fastest ebike charge?

Battery isn't 17a, it is 17 amp hours a capacity rating of the cells. I8650 cells are different to the high rate polymer cells used in other devices, faster charging will age the battery a little quicker. A slow charge rate is always best for li-on.

    Switching KT Sine Wave Controller

As I have explained in the PM carry out a simple shunt mod, much cheaper option. One thing I haven't mentioned is check the C5 setting is set to 10. Interestingly I notice that your KT has the Hall wires split up in to 2 x 3 flat SM connectors instead of the normal 1 x 6 dj7061 connector block...

    Thumb throttle

If it is a KT enter in to the P settings and change P4 to 0, I expect at the mo throttle will work if you pedal first and activate it at the same time. You have the earlier KT electronics as the latter ones are Lishui. Edited.

Need help to Work out how many magnets are inside my hub motor

The hub has usually 1 speed magnet though as vfr has mentioned sometimes maybe 6 for the display reading, also surrounding the copper windings are a further 16 -20 magnets to help configure the ratio for correct speed calculation.
